Tony took a deep breath as he fixed the tie around his neck. This was really happening. They were finally getting married. Two minutes left. He looked in the mirror hanging over the dresser and grinned at himself, though it turned more into a grimace than anything else. His stomach twisted with nerves. I can't do this. Not today. He'd understand, right? Tony sent a mental apology to Steve as he grabbed his jacket and walked out the room and to the back garden, sitting down on a bench and hid his face in his hands. God, Pepper is so going to kill me for this.

Steve was standing at the altar, waiting for Tony to walk through the door. Any second now. When it was time for Tony to come through the door, Bruce walked through it instead. He walked up to Natasha, whispering something in her ear. She nodded and turned to Pepper, whispering the same thing to her. Pepper took a deep breath before nodding and turning to Steve, placing a hand on his shoulder and leaning up so she could whisper in his ear. What she whispered made Steve's stomach drop and he quickly moved out the doors, apologizing to everyone on the way.

"Tony's missing."

Steve made his way through the mansion in search for Tony, a million thoughts running through his head. He ran a hand through his hair and moved out to the back garden, thinking Tony probably walked out here to catch his breath and getting stuck or anything. He walked up to Tony on the bench, sitting down next to him.

Tony felt someone sitting down next to him, and smiled slightly when he recognized the cologne. He turned his head to look at Steve's profile, trying to determine whether or not Steve was mad at him. He looked down when Steve looked at him. They didn't say much, and eventually Steve reached out and took Tony's hand in his own. He laced their fingers together, stroking a finger over the engagement ring. Tony grinned up at him, quiet for once. He had an apologetic shade over his face. Steve shrugged slightly. The wedding was all forgotten now.

Steve leaned in slightly, placing his lips on Tony's like he'd done a hundred times before. I love you. Tony kissed back, reaching up and cupping Steve's jaw. I love you too. After a while Clint came out to them, and that was all reminding they needed before standing up. Their hands were still linked together as they walked inside and to the altar. They didn't hear much of what the preacher said, to busy staring into each other's eyes.

There were words spoken between eyes. Out loud as well, but mostly between the two hearts. Tony laughed when Pepper cried. No one expected any less than that. Steve didn't laugh; he just smiled at his husband. I can finally call him that. My husband. Because that's what they were. Husbands.

I do.
