The redhead stretched and sighed sleepily, rolling over to the space next to her where her handsome, curly haired husband slept. She peered over his body and took a quick glance at the digital clock which read 5.52am. Emma nestled back down on her pillow and fell back asleep, as Will sneakily opened one eye to check she was asleep. He smiled, looking at his pretty wife. It seemed like only a day ago that he had met her for the first time. He got out of bed, caring not to disturb Emma and padded lightly across the room to the door. He was just about to go downstairs to prepare Emma breakfast in bed when he heard rustling coming from Holly's bedroom. He knocked lightly on the door, which was opened by a small child with luxurious ginger curls and the same big, amber eyes as Emma.

"Morning sweetie, what are you doing? It's real early!" Whispered Will.

"I'm wrapping mommy's present! Daddy, can you help me? It has to be perfect for mom!" Said Holly, a delightful tone of excitement in her voice.

Will laughed, "Sure, sweetie! Then we can get cracking on her breakfast, what do you say?"

"Yay okay dad!"

After Holly's present for Emma was all wrapped up, they took it down stairs to the perfectly spotless kitchen, ready to prepare breakfast. They were just getting the peanut butter out of the cupboard when Emma appeared at the doorway. Her red hair was ruffled and her pyjamas were skewiff but she still looked absolutely breathtaking, even at 6.15 in the morning.

"What's going on, guys?" She said, and although she was finally coping with her OCD, Will could still sense that the whole being-up-before-her-scheduled-time situation was panicking her.

"We're making you breakfast, honey. It was, uh, supposed to be a surprise. But you're up now so never mind!" Said Will, placing a hand on his wife's delicate shoulder.

Holly ran over to her parents, beaming, "Happy mother's day, mommy! Look what I got you! I wrapped it all myself. Well, daddy helped a little bit!"

"A little bit? Cheeky! I did most of it!" Will chuckled, ruffling his daughter's curly head.

"Oh, Holly it's wrapped perfectly, thank you sweet heart! It looks almost too good to open!" Emma said, as she ran her small hand over the yellow ribbon attached to the present. She took a deep breath as she unravelled the ribbon and ripped straight through the paper, the noise sending chills down her spine; she'd always hated that noise, but she inwardly reminded herself that she was acting silly and continued to open the present. Inside the paper was a photo frame with a photo of herself, Will and Holly all smiling wide, happy smiles. She remembered that day; they had gone to see Rachel in her first Broadway performance and afterwards, they had gone for a meal. The photo reminded her that she was safe and that even when times felt like they were tough, she had a caring, loving husband and a healthy, happy daughter.
