The rain was slowly getting faster and faster. Our horses were beginning to have trouble seeing so they would stumble and go head first into every other obstacle if you weren't careful. Mikasa and Armin were not that far ahead from Connie and I. Suddenly there was a large roar; Mikasa was the first to react and ran her horse straight to toward the sound. Armin halted his horse and waited for us to catch up.
Armin shouted over the rain "That was Eren!"
Connie grunted
"Pfft we know that Armin, so now what."
I actually didn't know that.
Armin got closer. "I'm going to catch up to Mikasa and see if can help over there. I need you guys to keep going and try to catch up to Jean."
"Why Jean?",I asked. I swallowed too much water so I had a tiny coughing fit.
"I know you both are very talented, but I care about you too much to leave you alone. You two can be very clumsy sometimes. Jean is with krista and the others so you'll be safer there."
Connie and I looked a each other a nodded. We both know Armins right.
"Alright, I'm off."
Without another word Armin disappears into the trees. Connie and I ride on forward trying our best to keep our eyes open.
We hear another cry.
"Goddammit, Eren seriously needs help."
I chuckled but I'm pretty sure he didn't hear me.
"We still haven't found Jean. We still haven't seen anybody. I'm starting to freak out a little Connie, it's been more than half an hour since Armin left."
I saw a lighting flash in distance. 1...2...3 The thunder clap startled our horses and they started running in opposite directions.
"Oi! Down boy!"
My stead slowed down and I led him back towards Connie, who was on his feet consoling his horse.
"Shhh shhhh shut up boy. Okay he looks okay now." He got back on his saddle and we kept moving.
The rain had us both practically blind. We could only see green and black blur past us. Suddenly, I started to feel the ground steepen. "Hey what-" before I could finish my sentence my horses hooves hit something and sent me flying. I proceeded to roll down a hill with dirt stuffing my face and sharp twigs and thrones piercing into me. When I finally hit the steady ground I wasn't able to move. My whole body felt numb. My nose, my hands, basically everything was bleeding. I felt vulnerable and so breakable, that if you simply breathed on me I would fall apart. Then, I remembered something important and managed to open my mouth. "C-CONNIE!" I choked and started again. "Conn..Connie! Connie are you okay!?" I thought of the worst way too soon. Tears started flowing down my face, but I couldn't wipe them when I'm face down.
What am I doing here?. I'm only a child. I shouldn't be here. I can't feel a bone in my body. I'm useless, I'm scared. I miss home. I'm terrified.
Where is Connie?.
I started to drift off. I couldn't keep eyes open, maybe it's for the best. Maybe I can join Connie if I just fall asleep. I won't have to do this anymore, I'll be at peace.
Won't I?
My eyes closed and I didn't hear the rain anymore.
