It isn't a one way street; she looks at him with the same longing when she doesn't think anyone else is watching, has the same guarded look when she knows that people are watching.
She can practically feel the sparks fly when they actually make eye contact.
And she can tell that pretending to be nothing more than friends and teammates is slowly killing them both.
