Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves

SONG FIC!

ItaSaku

I was born in the wagon of a travellin show
My mama used to dance for the money they'd throw
Papa would do whatever he could
Preach a little gospel, sell a couple bottles of doctor good

I'm Sakura and I'm a gypsy. My mom would dance for the men at night and they'd throw her money. My papa would preach or sell a couple bottles of "Dr. Good" as he calls them. I call them beer. We just need the money.

Gypsies, tramps, and thieves
Wed hear it from the people of the town
They'd call us gypsies, tramps, and thieves
But every night all the men would come around
And lay their money down

All the time in town I hear them call us gypsies, tramps, and thieves. I asked my mother and papa why they did and they said because other people didn't like gypsies.

Now even though people call us gypsies, tramps, and thieves every night the men in town sneak over to our wagon and pay my mother to dance.

Picked up a boy just south of mobile
Gave him a ride, filled him with a hot meal
I was sixteen, he was twenty-one
Rode with us to Memphis
And papa woulda shot him if he knew what he'd done

Once when I was 16 we found this guy who I later found out was 21 and he'd been traveling for days. We gave him a ride and a hot meal. His name was Itachi and the two of us spent quite a lot of time together. One night when my mother and papa were out trying to get money, my mother dancing and my papa preaching and selling beer, Itachi did things to me that he shouldn't have and I let him. Eventually it led to him taking my virginity. My papa would've been POed.

Gypsies, tramps, and thieves
Wed hear it from the people of the town
They'd call us gypsies, tramps, and thieves
But every night all the men would come around
And lay their money down

Now people in town call me a gypsy, tramp, or a thieve because I've started to dance and dress like my mother to earn some extra cash. And yet, all the men still sneak around, at night, and give us their money.

I never had schoolin but he taught me well
With his smooth southern style
Three months later I'm a gal in trouble
And I haven't seen him for a while, uh-huh
I haven't seen him for a while, uh-huh

Itachi started to teach me some good skills since I've never been to school and only knew the way of the gypsy. When we dropped him off in Memphis, he gave me one last meaningful look and left.

Three months later I found out I'm pregnant and will have to tell my father what really happened between Itachi and I. This should be interesting…

She was born in the wagon of a travellin show
Her mama had to dance for the money they'd throw
Grandpa'd do whatever he could
Preach a little gospel, sell a couple bottles of doctor good

My daughter was born just like I was, in the wagon of a travellin show. I had to dance for money to support my angel and my papa, her grandfather, would help support my mother, my daughter, and me. He'd still do whatever he could since he couldn't exactly dance for men… He still preached and sold a couple bottles of "Dr. Good."

Gypsies, tramps, and thieves
Wed hear it from the people of the town
They'd call us gypsies, tramps, and thieves
But every night all the men would come around
And lay their money down

We're all gypsies and we may be called tramps or thieves but we're family. I just hope someday that I find Itachi again… My papa will teach him to knock me up and leave…

This is a Cher song and you could guess by the title that it's called "Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves!" My mom also forced me to listen to this one and I liked it!
