Tormented.

Hurt.

Insane.

Her flaming red hair appeared in his mind and he wanted to grasp it, to touch it. To make sure it was real when deep down in his empty heart, it wasn't.

Why couldn't she leave his mind? Why couldn't he get over her death?

No matter how many barriers he tried to put up in his head, trying not to think about her, she always appeared.

Everywhere he looked she was there somehow. He could almost smell her. Almost see her smiling faintly at him.

His sins were catching up on him. He had done bad things in the past and he knew it. They were out on revenge so they put her in his mind to realize his mistakes.

But he lost her many years ago. Lost her over a foolish mistake that was so childish.

But then, wasn't everyone?

Her green eyes haunted him every day through her son. He shouldn't take his anger out on him but yet he had and he regretted it. But yet, he was another James Potter.

He knew somehow he would always see her again and again until he died and then somehow he knew she would never leave him in peace.

Oh, she was so sweet and kind to him but yet, she laughed at him like everyone else did.

But she hurt him.

He learned not to trust so easily. To trust, they have to earn it. She did. She earned his trust and now she threw it all away right back at his face.

Why won't she just leave his mind?

He found himself dying in the shrieking shack and he felt a pair of warm hands, hoping they would be hers.

Gently he took away some of his memories and he could feel her breathing on him, feeling her holding him.

"Look…at…me…." He whispered and green eyes matched his and he felt relieved that there was no trace of her inside him.

But yet, she would always haunt him, no matter where he would be in the world.
