She didn't need to stay behind him anymore. As a level 12 sage she was definitely strong enough to go out on her own in battle. (Under General Ikes orders of course.) But she felt…like she needed to stay by his side. Whenever they talked she felt extremely happy, and when they were apart she felt sad. But she couldn't tell him this. No, of course she couldn't. They were fighting in a war. She sighed to herself as she went over all of this. How could she have fallen in love?
"Hey Ilyana, are you all right? You've been a lot lately." Mia said. Ilyana immediately snapped out of her thoughts.
"…What?" Ilyana asked.
"Are you alright?" Mia repeated.
"Yeah…" she said. Sort of. "I think I'll go to bed now. Night."
"'Kay. Night." Mia said, ending their conversation. Then she got ready for bed too.
Oh, how could I have fallen in love with Mordecai? She thought before falling asleep.
