"I'm sorry." The girl said in a pale tone.

"Is it really inevitable?" the boy asked in turn.

"Unfortunately, yeah."

"So, it just went down to this huh..?"

"Don't call it 'just' this…"

"Why?"

"Because I don't want to do this either…"

"Then, if you don't wanna do this, then why do you still pursue this decision?"

"Because it's the right thing to do!"

"Do you really think it is?!"

Silence filled the air.

"I…" she found it hard to finish the sentence. "I…I don't know…" then tears started to flow from her eyes.

"Don't do this…you're hurting me…but you're hurting yourself more…"

"But if I don't, then it's them that will get hurt if they'll know!"

"For once Riku..!" it took quite a while for him to continue. "Think about yourself…think of your own happiness..! And 'IF' they'll know..."

"I won't get completely happy one way or the other! If I continue cheat them and go on with our relationship, my conscience can't bear it—"

"But your conscience can bear me?!" the boy cut in, his voice with an angry and disappointed tone.

"Uh—Daisuke, no! That's not what I meant!" the girl too is starting to get aggressive.

"Then what?" he pronounced the sentence with the atmosphere of irony.

"Daisuke, will you please listen to me for a second?!"

"I AM listening!" that sentence came out with a very loud volume.

"Huh?! You're listening?! Fine! Let's give you that. But you're not picking up my message!"

"Oh! Your message is VERY clear to me! You want to break up with me because you're so damn tired of me!"

She slapped him hard. REALLY hard. "Daisuke…sobs I'm so disappointed in you…sobs I thought you would understand it easily, but I guess I was wrong. But I believe that you yourself know that the reason you're saying isn't true. You're just making it harder for the both of us to get on with this."

Daisuke held her hand that was still hanging because she slapped him (sorry if my term sucks…) and began to speak. "Riku, I know and I understand completely that you're just pressured so you're doing this. But it's just too hard to accept…" he gently put it down, and with it came tears from his eyes. A teardrop fell on their hands, and then he continued talking. "I envy you…because you're taking this challenge head-on and still trying to be strong…while I act like a 5 year old child with his candy taken away by bullies because I'm hiding myself in a corner instead of facing it like a man and stand tall."

"Don't worry Daisuke…sometimes, it's alright to be weak and cry…"

"The same goes for you…"

Then they both giggled.

"I love you Riku."

"I love you too Daisuke."

Daisuke pulled her closer for a tight hug. "I'm sorry for acting immature back there."

"It's alright. And by the way, sorry for slapping you."

"No, thank you for slapping me. It waked me up back into reality once again. The only problem now is how much I'm gonna miss you…"

"Don't worry. I won't vanish. I'll be right here, always."

"But things can never be what they used to be…"

The girl just turned her head away, for she was filled with guilt to answer. In addition, she tightened her grip of her lover.
