Twilight: Unexpectaitions
I got up tiredly from my bed. I had just gotten Edward back, but he was gone again. At least Alice was still here. So were the rest of the Cullen girls. The guys were on a hunting trip in Alaska. I undressed myself and redressed. It had been a long time since I had seen Mike Newton. He just vanished, along with his loyal dog like attitude. Ever since he had been sick at the movies with Jacob and I, he had left from school. Poor thing, he must've been really sick.
"Hello?"
I jumped at the sudden noise and spun to look at the window.
"Oh," I sighed.
"H-Hey Jacob."
"Edward's out? Am I correct?"
"Yeah, but only to hunt."
It was only then that I stopped looking at his beautiful face and noticed the big gash on his leg.
"Jacob! What happened to your leg?" I shouted.
"I got in a fight with some unwanted visitor. He's new, and confused."
"Does it hurt? When did you get it?"
"This morning actually. It just bled through the bandage so I took it off."
"I'm so sorry you're hurt."
"It's fine."
A loud knocking came on the door. It was unfamiliar; Definitely not Edward's soft knocks.
"I'll go get that. Why don't you have a seat?"
I hurried down our wooden staircase and walked straight to the door. It wasn't a school day, and I was the only one I knew who got up at 7:00 am on a Saturday.
"Hello. Charlie's not here right… Mike?"
"Hi Bella."
"What are you doing here? It's not even 9:00."
"I have something urgent to tell you."
"Yes, what is it? Come inside."
I sat him in the living room, poured him water and dropped a couple of ice cubes in from the ice tray. Then I grabbed a glass for me, then one for Jacob. I hurried in the den with my two cups of water. I place them down and I left out Jacob's. I don't think Mike was not too fond of Jacob.
"Where have you been the past week? How bad was the stomach bug?"
"It wasn't the stomach bug, and I wasn't sick."
"What? Then what was it? Everyone was worried."
"I think Jacob is a werewolf," he blurted. That was the last thing I expected.
I blinked confused.
"I'm sorry, I must seem crazy…"
"No, but how did you know?"
"I kind of have a little secret of my own. Wait, how do you know? Well, how do you know?"
"Hold on."
I went upstairs, my sneakers smacking against the stairs.
"Jacob?"
He was sprawled out on my bed clearly enjoying his peace. However, I disturbed his peace, and he jumped.
"Yeah?"
"Come on downstairs."
"Wait, but isn't Charlie down there?"
"No, he leaves earlier, than I awake."
"Okay."
He got off my bed and followed me down the stairs. Then Jacob froze in the hallway and sniffed the air. He started to turn and run, but I grabbed his wrist and gave him a look that said, nope. You're coming with me. I dragged him down the stairs. Okay, that was done. I urged him in the room and sat him in a chair across from Mike.
"Explain."
I waited, but the only response I got from Jacob was lots of growling. Mike only cowered.
Jacob charged and knocked Mike out the window. I shouted.
"JACOB!"
I looked out the window.
The only thing I saw was Jacob in werewolf form and a golden furred were-retriever.
Then I knew, Jacob hated Mike more than ever.
Mike was a dog.
