First off I don't own Harry Potter. J.K. Rowling has that right not me.

This is my first fanfiction and reviews would be great. This story is told from Hermione's point of view.

"Miss Granger were sorry to tell you but you have leukemia," said the healer.

I was sitting in complete and utter shock at what the healer had just told me. This could not be happening to me. It couldn't be true. I just wanted it not to be true, but of course it was true. The tears were now coming down my face and I didn't bother to wipe them away. I thought the war would kill me, but no, I now had to face this.

"There are several options for treatment. We need to get started right away for you to get better quickly. Our first option is chemo like in the muggle world; it would be twice a week for the first few weeks and you would be able to do most of the things you do now. The second option would be a potion that would knock you out for a week it takes out the cancer from you but you have the risk of losing the ability to walk. Those are the two options that I feel comfortable letting you have." The healer then got some papers from his desk and handed them to me, "here are some papers about your options I'll let you think about your options and we will set up and appointment to get the treatments started. I'm so sorry Miss Granger."

"It's not your fault it just happens. I can't blame this on anyone, even if I wished I could. I'll owl you my answer when I decide. Thank you for helping me." I then got up and left the room to make the appointment for the next time, unfortunately I knew I was going to spend a lot of time here for awhile. My appointment would be next Friday at 1pm. I then used their fireplace and flooed to the only person I felt like talking to. Tonks. (A/N: Tonks, Fred, and Lupin did not die in the battle of Hogwarts.)

I went straight up to where she had set up a place for people to get their frustrations out and drew my wand. I then locked the door. Finally letting all my anger out in the one place where no one could come in. No one dared to come into this room when it was locked; we had made this a place right after the war had ended. I probably used it the most, but Fred was a close second. I stayed at the Weasley's for a while before going and looking for my parents. When I got to Australia I had found out they died in a car accident of all the things that could have happened to them they died in a car accident. Tonks and Lupin had me stay here once I got back from Australia. I visited the weasley's frequently but mostly stayed in my room here. The scar from Bellatrix had still not faded enough that I would ware t-shirts, the weasley's didn't know that we had been at Malfoy Manner it was still to hard to relive or even think about. Tonks had confronted me about wearing the long sleves.
