Always wanted to do one of these=) Yuzu seems so innocent that i thought it would be interesting to paint her angsty. This is from her POV and i imagined her with a large inferiority complex(oxymoron=P) so if u disagree with something about her, i probably do too. R&R please

To anyone out there who's been waiting (quite patiently i might add) for me to update and are going, "WTF what about (insert story I've neglected here)!" well im tragically uninspired-_-

oh yeah, Disclaimer- Is it really necessary for me to explain that i don't own bleach?

Young

She hears it a lot, that she was too young when her mother died. That she's too young to be responsible for the household. To do the cooking, and the cleaning, and pretty much everything else, but who else is there? Mother is dead and she's the only one that can do it. So she smiles and laughs and tells her teacher that everything is fine, she'll bring her grades up no problem. That's a lie though, and her teacher's frown says she knows as much, but Yuzu knows what's more important and she knows it's not her.

Different

Yuzu did her very best to fit in. It made everyone happy, and making people happy made her happy. It was only when they found out who her siblings were that things became awkward. Even then, they'd just shrug and say "You're nothing like them". No, she wasn't anything like them at all.

Weak

Karin and Ichigo both came home with bruises and scrapes ever since she could remember. Yuzu on the other hand, doesn't. She doesn't have a reason to fight like they do. She isn't angry like Karin, or protective like Ichigo. She wishes she was, because then she may have the courage to ask them to stop. Instead she just does the dishes and listens while her father congratulates them.

Nurse

Yuzu doesn't like the sick. As often as she works in the clinic she figures she should be over it, but it's only gotten worse over the years. She doesn't say a thing about it though, she doesn't want to complain and be a burden. She didn't even flinch when her father told her what a great nurse she was going to be. She just smiled and choked back the thought that her own father couldn't tell how much she hated it.

Expectations

Her father sometimes says that she looks like her mother. She remembers the first time he said it Ichigo left the table angry, ever since she knew it wasn't true. The picture on the wall was proof enough, even without Ichigo's apparent disagreement. Her mother was beautiful and Yuzu simply is not. She's average and always will be.

Tired

She's always the first to wake up, but Ichigo looks the most exhausted, and that's only when he's been home to sleep at all. She greets him with breakfast and a smile, as much as she wants to question him instead. She cooks, she cleans, she works, and smiles for them. She just doesn't have the energy to be lied to.

Distance

Karin doesn't talk to her anymore, not really. She talks to her the way Ichigo and her father do, half truths and whole lies. She pretends she believes them, lets them do whatever it is they all know about and leave her out of. She simply ignores the whispers and the filtering of "friends" through the house. It doesn't matter what she does, it's obvious they don't need her.

Alone

Yuzu hates when the house is empty. Quiet pressing in on her, she cleans and cooks with her thoughts reeling. At the very least she knows that what they do is dangerous. She knows they get hurt, she knows they could not come back. Empty halls and silent rooms scream it. She could be setting the table for a family she'll never see again, she'd never know what happened to them. They could leave her completely alone here. This is the only time she lets herself really cry, because no ones there to see. She's already alone.
