Clear as Crystal – A Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel Fanfic
AN: Hello, I'm back! I despise John Dee (as a fictional character, not historical figure), but he intrigues me as well. Please enjoy! Please note that this is what I interpret Dee's thoughts to be, and so they may be biased.
Disclaimer: Why would I write fanfictions for my own book? I do not own Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel.
There, with the swords of power and the Codex laid down on the table in fro not him, all his to use, everything became clear as crystal to Dr. John Dee. For all of his extended life, ever since the night he met the Morrigan, the magician had worked ceaselessly for the Dark Elders' cause. They have given him his immortality and his life. In return, he had served them faithfully, tirelessly. He was the best they had. Cunning, strength, knowledge, and experience made him dangerous, very dangerous. Yet, they declared him Utlaga, just because of failing at a task that no one, not the Morrigan and Bastet, or even the Archon Cernunnos, have accomplished.
The magician had been in pursuit of knowledge for a lifetime. He knew that knowledge is power. And Dee was always power hungry. He served the Dark Elders, not only because he believed that the world would be the better place if they were to return, but also to acquire power. Power was the ultimate prize, the goal he always strived for. And now it was at his fingertips.
The four swords that have to the power to create leygates and control the elements, the Codex with the universe's knowledge inside it, and a golden aura were his to command. With these, he was invincible. And why should he stop at this world? He can have this, and the hundreds, possibly thousands of shadowrealms that border it, all under his control. All he needed to do was kill the Elders and Flamels.
They said that Dr. John Dee had no heart. They were right, of course. What would one need a heart for? It has always been humani's greatest downfall, the reason they were so weak. But he, he was powerful.
The swords pulsed under his touch, as if agreeing with him. Dee felt a giggle emerge from his throat. For all his life, he had been the servant. Now, it was time for him to become the master.
