Good afternoon! Come in, young man!
What a lovely day! I shake your hand.
I'm a simple merchant of anything you need.
And all of my prices are the very best indeed!

So step right up, have a look at my wares!
Why not take a seat in one of these chairs?
The choicest teak from the finest tree –
If it's not for you, there's more to see!

Would you care to look at this selection of ties?
Beautiful! Beautiful! Matches your eyes!
And you never know when you'd need to ski.
Yes, we're in the desert, so get your skis from me!

No matter what you're looking for,
Find it at da Figueira's convenience store!

Now take a look at this silken fan.
It comes with a cast-iron frying pan!
Try on this hat – How tall and straight it stands!
You'll be sharpest-dressed in all the land!

This lovely gadget will shell your peas.
These magnificent pads will guard your knees.
And you can't miss out on these crystal rocks,
And flutes, and pipes, and knitted socks,
And tapestries of warriors brave,
And brass doorknobs, and aftershave!

It's good to meet you and sad you can't stay.
Thanks for your business and have a nice day!

The Adventures of Tintin was created by Hergé.

I started writing this a few years ago, because in one of Oliveira da Figueira's appearances, he started selling Tintin some neckties, saying "Would you care to look at this selection of ties?" and then, "Beautiful! Beautiful! Matches your eyes!" And I thought that sounded like it could be a poem.

It was fun to come up with all the random things Oliveira could sell, but I wasn't happy with what I wrote. Then I forgot about it and I just recently dug it back up. I thought I could tweak it a bit and then upload it. So I did. Let me know if the flow's weird or alright.
