I read Everblaze a couple days ago. It showed me a new side of Brant. I just had to write about it.

He had it all. He had nothing.
He couldn't decide.
It was all their fault. He couldn't save her. He tried and failed. He tried.
If they hadn't banned it, if they hadn't banned pyrokinesis, Jolie would still be alive.
The council was stupid. All abilities would be triggered one day. He had been wrongfully named talentless.
If the council hasn't banned his ability, he could have been properly trained. He would have been able to prevent his outburst.
It was not his fault, only the council's.
Fintan had tried to teach him. But it only made him thirsty for power.
He had joined the Neverseen for justice. He didn't know Jolie was a part of the Black Swan. That caused his outburst. The anger over betrayal.
He was going to destroy all who caused him this torture. Sixteen years he had suffered. Sixteen years!
Stupid council. He'd kill them all one day.
They took away his precious Jolie.
And Brant couldn't live without her.
