Oliver Wood: No More Sunsets

He is lucky to be alive. Still, he doesn't feel lucky at all. He will never see another sunset or the sky, grass or flowers.

The curse should have killed him, but instead, it robbed him of his sight and from what he's heard his is face badly scarred.

He envies the dead. He never says it out loud, but he thinks it all the time and feels guilty about it.

His friends who died he knows wanted to live more than anything. Their families would gladly bring them in his state, but he can't help wishing for the roles to be reversed.

Ginny Weasley: Teal Teddy Bear

She sits by the lake holding the faded teal teddy bear. Fred and George gave her this, but now they're no longer Fred and George.

It's only George now, and she doesn't know how to come to terms with it.

Her constant companion is rage and sadness. In the long days and the sleepless nights it's always there.

Dennis Creevey: A life that never was.

He rides around on trains all day. Half the time he has no idea where they're taking him, but it soothes him being on a train.

Sometimes he has to ask the day or date because everything blurs into one.

Most of the time he blends in with Muggles.

It helps him not forget Colin, but at least not see his face every waking moment.

Some days he can convince himself that he is like everyone else on the train. That neither Colin nor he got acceptance letters to Hogwarts.

That his older brother is out drinking with his mates or on a date with a beautiful girl.

Pansy: Green and Black

She hates the color green always had. It was everywhere at home. The walls, the floor, bedding, chairs.

The color green was the worse thing about being in Slytherin. She wasn't that fond of silver either.

She lives on her own now. The walls are black, the floor, and the furniture.

Her clothes are black.

She's mourning. Her family is dead, and the dream of a new Pureblood world had died with them.
