Sec fell dead once the pain of Thay's death ray ceased. Martha rushed over to Sec and began trying to revive him. She pushed on his chest and blew into his mouth. After a while of doing this, Martha looked at her watched and said, "Time of death, midnight." The doctor looked at his friend's lifeless body and said, "I want to bury him." Martha nodded then said, "I'll get a sheet." Lalzo went to get a stretcher. The doctor went to look for a shovel. Lazlo returned with the stretcher. "Hey doctor me and my girl are going with Frank back to Hooverville." The doctor nodded. Martha had come back with a sheet. The doctor looked at Sec and then covered him with the sheet. The two then went somewhere far away from New York. Sec's body would be laid to rest on an uninhatbited palnet. When they landed their breath was stolen by the beautiful wilderness surrounding the area. They found and open field in the heart of the planet. The doctor dug his friend's grave in silence. Once the hole was big and deep enough, Martha and the Doctor lowered Sec into his final resting place. Martha arranged Sec's arms so he looked like he was sleeping. "There you are love.",she said softly. "Now you look like your resting.",she said on the verge of tears. The Doctor looked sadly at Sec lying in his grave. "Now what?",he asked Martha. She replied, "On earth when someone who was loved dies, the friends and family gather at the sight they will be buried at and say a few words in the deceased person's honour." The doctor looked puzzled at her. Martha continued, "We call it a funeral. It's a way to say goodbye." The doctor nodded then asked, "How do they begin?" Martha answered, "They begin by someone saying-." She paused then said slowly, "We are gathered here today, to mourn the loss of Dalek Sec. He was, as you may know, a dalek. One might say that they are heartless killers, but Sec was willing to change the way a dalek lived. Though he didn't know that in a mere few hours of being a hybrid he'd exhale his last breath, he remained true to his friends. In one last attempt to show the few humans he had met, that he had changed his ways, he sacrificed himself to save us. Though it's unfair he had to die after being so brave for us, his memory will live on. Rest in peace Dalek Sec." The doctor then said, "Thank you Dalek Sec, and goodbye." The Doctor then covered Sec's body with the dirt. He felt Sec deserved a more grander funeral, but he enjoyed the hard work. After the grave was filled up again, the doctor put a stone over the spot where Sec's head peacefully laid. He then used his sonic screwdriver to write:
Here, to lie forever in peace, Dalek Sec.
He was a foe, friend, and genius.
He will be missed by those who knew him.
Res In Peace my friend.
He an Martha soon boared the TARDIS and left. The Doctor named the planet that he chose too bury Sec on, New Skaro.
