If the Five-Year Mission was a Road Trip and the Enterprise a Car

Every road trip has its characters, and these are the Assignments of our Command Crew. Currently one-shot, may be expanded upon. Though up walking from the dining hall to my dorm room, please not flames.

If the enterprise was a car

Every road trip has its stereotypical characters from the driver to the repair person. But on a starship, who assumes those roles. In the command crew everyone has their role.

First off the driver is Sulu, and he keeps things running smoothly by his admirable ability to steer things in the right direction. Chekov is shotgun and the map reader, as he is the Navigator and knows how to get places without fail most of the time.

Next in the backseat is Kirk, Spock and Bones, First Kirk is the backseat driver. He keeps things in control, and tells Sulu where to go or where he thinks they should go. Moreover we all know that Kirk is good in the backseat. Spock corrects Kirk when needed making him the Backseat Driver's Backseat Driver. Mccoy is the carsick kid that wants out of the car and is are we there yet, as he does not like space travel. Moreover they all have a second role. McCoy and Spock have the window seats and Kirk is in the hump as they are the fighting children in the backseat. Kirk is in the middle as he is always in the middle of Spock and bones fighting anyways.

Next comes Uhura as the cell phone controller, as that seems to be her thing as she is the Communication Head. Finally every road trip needs someone who is good with a car jack and in this case that is Scotty, our favorite Chief Engineer.
