There are very few things in Dean's life that he won't compromise on: food, clothing, where he sleeps... he's even had a change of heart about what constitutes a monster. Gordon, a human that acted like a monster and Lenore, a "monster" that acted human, totally skewed what Dean had been taught to believe about his job as a hunter. Anyway... most things, Dean could care less about one way or the other. But having Sam in his life, well, that's the one thing that Dean flat-out refused to discuss. Probably should've been more clear about that with Lisa...
