A/N: Contains spoiler for the No Mercy route. What do you expect? It's fanfiction.

it's raining here, too

Sans is sleeping. He seems really tired, more tired than his usual goofy self. So, ever so slowly, Chara moves the battle box to the FIGHT option. She doesn't want the evil skeleton to wake up, she's tired, too. Unlike Undyne who, while hard to beat, she only needed ten deaths to keep going, Sans is a whole different being. Even Flowey had to reset several times before giving up this route.
Flowey who, in one occasion, manages to crash the world and changed it into his own living hell.
Had that stupid flower succeeded in finishing the job, Chara wouldn't have to be doing this for everyone. She feels a conscience cries. But of course, she's destroying this world—this game—for everyone so they don't have to suffer anymore. For Sans, too.
There, the FIGHT option. The only option she's willing to touch in this game's feature, so she does. But the button isn't lit up.
It's as if... it refuses to light up as her eyes become wet and blurry.
Hmm, interesting. Why keep holding on this futile world? Even if you want to spare it, there's nothing left here. Chara looks at the sleeping skeleton and more tears come out of her weak, weak eyes. She presses the button once more, but nothing happens.
We're a team.
She presses once more, nothing happens.
Chara is going to put everyone out of their misery.
Once more, nothing happens.
No matter, struggle as you like, when you're tired Chara will murder that cocky skeleton. Her smile is tainted by that salty water across her rosy cheeks.
Chara ends up sitting through her sob-less cry for a few minutes, before, the littlest slip from that conscience makes the button lit up, and she quickly slams against it as hard as she can, almost in desperation. Sans wakes up and evades her attack, but he fails to see her second. Cheating? She isn't. She's simply using the special power she has. Chara wonders why Sans still bothers smiling in his last moments. To impress her? To impress himself? Doesn't matter.
That skeleton is dead. Her conscience, too.
Next, that flower.

A/N: Aaaaand that' s it. Honesly, I don't see Chara as evil. If you end up destroying the world, it's your doing, she's merely following your guide.
