This short story took place in the TYL world and was proofread by KawaiiDesuNee so thanks a lot for your help Nica!

Welcome home, Tsu-kun!

The brunette sighed as he dragged his feet back to the mansion after a tiresome meeting. Tsuna stopped on his tracks just as he was about to open the door to his mansion, where a certain demonic tutor was free loadi-…staying at, mind you. The young mafioso sighed and ruffled his brown locks as he decided to make his way through the back door (to stall for time, of course) before he had to return to his cursed paper works from hell…a.k.a, written work.

'…Why did I even agree to be the decimo anyway?'

Tsuna wondered to himself as he lazily slung his suit jacket over his shoulder.

"Well, it couldn't have been for the fortune…" He whispered to himself.

Heck, he didn't even have time to buy anything for himself. Not to mention his guardians who keep destroying his mansion which caused the bills to be piled up along with the paperwork...The brunette cursed silently before tilting his head to the side as he thought of another reason for his now seemingly stupid decision.

"…Fame?"

Does having your pictures posted up at the police stations and your name feared in the underworld counts? No.

Tsuna shivered at the thought, all he wished for was a simple, peaceful life….

"Honestly, is that too much to ask?" Tsuna mumbled to himself as he thought of the various times that he wished he didn't accept to be the decimo in the first place...

"Tsu-kun?" The brunette blinked as he heard the familiar sweet voice. Tsuna snapped his head to the side, only to see a Japanese woman with flowing orange locks that fluttered along the wind as she popped her head out the window.

"Kyoko-chan? Why aren't you in your room?" Tsuna jogged until he reached the window.

"I was waiting for you to return home, Tsu-kun." The orangenette replied with a soft smile. "Yamamoto-kun, Gokudera-kun and everyone else are also getting worried since you went to the meeting alone."

The brunette widened his eyes; he couldn't believe how much the orange head and his family cared for him…

'Oh, right…I remember now…the reason why I chose to be a mafia boss ten years ago….was to protect my family.'

The other reason was…

"Well, I promise to always return home right?" The brunette grinned.

"Still, I can't help but worry every time you go out for work Tsu-kun." Kyoko mumbled as her lips tugged down to a slight frown. The brunette's smile faltered as he was suddenly feeling guilty for making her and his guardians wait for him all this time.

'This won't do..'

Tsuna thought as he couldn't bear to see his 'sun' without her smile, especially if it's because of him. He proceeded to move a few steps forward, making the orange head blink at his face which was inches away from hers as he finally closed the distance between them. The decimo pulled back, curious caramel orbs locked with chocolate browns.

"I'll be home." He repeated reassuringly. "….As long as my family and fiancée are here to welcome me back."

A bright smile spread over her lips as she heard the brunette's words.

"Then…okaeri, Tsu-kun." Kyoko whispered sincerely while the brunette's grin only grew wider.

"Tadaima….Kyoko-chan."

Omake

"Oh and Reborn-chan is looking for you, Tsu-kun!" The orange head chirped innocently, not noticing the brunette's face which paled at the name of his worst nightmare.

A/N: Okaeri means 'welcome home' while tadaima means 'I'm back' in japanese. Thanks for reading this really short fic! Even the omake was only a sentence long O.O Still, reviews please? :)
