Chapter One
Mitsunari Ishida smiled as he watched Sun Ce sit with his wife, Da Qiao. They sat in a dark corner quietly whispering but he could faintly hear what they were saying. He had never seen such a well-matched couple before and it somehow amazed him.
"Oh darling, do you really have to go?"
He nodded. "I'm afraid so."
Da Qiao pouted and folded her arms in such a way, she almost appeared angry. "I don't want you to go."
Sun Ce smiled and forced her to unfold her arms. "I know, dear. Just know I will never love anyone else like I love you."
