(inspired by a video on youtube with the title "does this darkness have a name?" with a short display of Pitchiner's past)
Does this darkness have a name?
Sandy often had that question in mind during the dark ages... he wasn't referring directly to Pitch but to the darkness that had engulfed him...
using his daughter as a trap...unforgivable!
turning a heroic general into the nightmare king, no less...unforgivable!
and using that men for destroy everybody's hope...UNFORGIVABLE!
this cruelty, this hatred...how did it find us?
while fighting the nightmares in Pitch's liar, Sandy thought about that...endless times before falling on his knees due to tiredness while other nightmares appeared and growled at the Sandman's light
to steal into our lives, until we seek it out and embrace it...
Pitch appeared in all his might. Sandy watched. trying to find some light in that darkened mind...finding only hate and evilness... he fought back the nightmares with his whips, full of rage...
what happened to us? when did we lose our way?!
how is even possible for such darkness to corrupt a so-gentle soul, making it it's personal slave?
The sandman tights his hold on his whips
how could he help Pitch? could he still remember who he once was? maybe not...Sandy tried for centuries.
after the Burgees' battle, Sandy came here to ensure Pitch was alright and found a broken shadow of what, once, was Pitch black.
how could the sandman have been so stupid? you cannot hide from fear and fight the darkness forever...you have to face it, in order to win it.
consumed by the shadows, swallowed whole by the darkness...(sigh)
Sandy raised his stare, silent tears making their way through his eyes...searching for the man in the moon...
with all the nightmares gone, Sandy mad his way towards Pitch, who stood completely still in the darkness, as if waiting...
the little Star touched Pitch's cheek tenderly, almost scared of hurting him as the other brought his sore hand upon the little one's, smiling.
"you shouldn't worry this much" said Pitch as Sandy simply stood closer... "it's not like you" Pitch finished
"does this darkness have a name?" asked Sandy through tears as Pitch smiled, tightening the hold a little
"is it your name?" Sandy asked again as Pitch nodded, backing away in the shadows again...
Sandy got out of the liar alone, watching the endless sky above his head and the trees around him...
golden age...mhp...even in that time darkness existed...the mistake done was to put that darkness in a cage...where it waited for it's revenge. the Mim had done a great mistake long time ago, causing an honest and good general pay the price, making him a doll of that darkness...and Sandy knew it...everybody knew it...apart Pitch.
