George grinned at his newest product. It was the pinnacle of his joking career, the epitome of his amazing reputation as a renowned prankster-

"What is that?" Fred asked, and George sighed, holding out the device.

"It's a Freezing Frenzy," George explained. Fred took the little object from his hand. It was small, round, and a pale baby blue. "When you put it on the ground and smash it with your foot, it'll freeze the area around it."

Fred smiled. "This would be perfect for pranks!"

"I know!" George exclaimed. "They'll slip on the ice, and it'll be hilarious!"

Fred pocketed it. "Who should our test subject be?"

George thought for a moment, leaning against the wall of his room. Since they were at home, they could prank any of their siblings, which would provide optimal results. (Along with a punishment from their mother, but they weren't going to let that stop them.)

"How about...Ron?"

The twins smirked evilly, sneaking out of their room.

Ron was outside with Harry and Hermione. As such, his room was completely unoccupied.

"Ready?"

"Go!"

George threw the device on the ground, stomping hard on it. The effects were instant-cracks of ice emerged and crawled away from the spot, until eventually, Ron's entire room had become a freezer.

"Wow." Fred stood in awe, admiring the ice sculpture that was their little brother's room. Everything was encased in ice-the walls, his bed, even his dirty socks, hanging on the back of his chair.

"Perfect," George said. "Now let's get out of here. It's freezing!"

The duo chuckled at their stupid pun, exiting the room and closing the door behind them.

Ron walked up the stairs to his room, Hermione following behind. Harry was still outside putting the Quidditch gear back with Ginny.

Ron opened his door, looking over his shoulder to say something to the brunette. As a result, he didn't notice the ice rink he had foolishly walked into.

"Herm-ah!" Ron screamed as his foot went sliding on the ice. He flew across his room, eventually hitting the back wall roughly with his back.

"Ow," Ron moaned, rubbing the back of his head. His feet began to slip again, and he groped along the wall, trying to find something that wasn't icy to hold onto.

"Ron, what happened?" Hermione began, but before Ron could warn her, she stepped on the ice. She screamed as she skated across, thumping into Ron's chest painfully.

Ron's face heated up drastically. Hermione was quite warm, given the temperatures of his room.

"Who would do this?" Hermione groaned, grabbing onto a frozen lamp post.

Ron glowered. "Fred and George."

The twins stood in their room, laughing over one of their Extendable Ears.

"That was hilarious! Ron's such a dolt around her. He really needs to man up and confess."

"Okay, we've got to make more of these!"

As George leaned over his desk, beginning to piece together a new Freezing Frenzy, Fred thought aloud.

"Who would have known that we were matchmakers as well as pranksters?"

"Fred, George, did you freeze Ron's room?!"

"Mother, believe us. We had good reasons to do this."

"Yeah? Like what!?"

"Like getting you and Hermione in a compromising position!"

Ron flushed a beet red while Hermione fled the scene. Mrs. Weasley raised an eyebrow.

"Well, I guess it was for a good cause then."
