Christine groaned softly as she heard the distant mad banging of baby grand keys, awaking her from her sleep. He could never rest, he had to play at this hour and wake her up. Christine loved him with all her heart but this was one thing she couldn't stand, waking alone. Christine sighed and climbed out of bed, walking to the music room of their small home.
She watched him from the doorway. Her husband was completely focused on this new piece he was composing. Christine slowly approached him from behind and wrapped her arms tight around his shoulders, hugging him. Christine smiled when she felt him lean back into her and slowly take his hands off the organ keys.
"Erik…" Christine whispered into his ear.
Erik stared at the organ as if it had offended him and responded," Yes, my love?"
"You should be asleep with me, in our bed." Christine says softly before gently kissing the back of his neck.
"Christine…" Erik sighs tilting his head.
"Erik…" Christine smiles and hugs him tighter to her.Erik chuckles softly and turns around on the organ bench so now Christine was standing in between his legs. Christine smiles and leans down and kisses his lips softly. Erik smiles and in response stands up and looks down at her. He wraps his arms around her waist and kisses her forehead before smirking and slinging her over his shoulder.
"Erik!" Christine squeals before giggling and swinging her legs frantically.
"You should be asleep, young lady." Erik scolds in a teasing tone with a slight smirk and starts walking towards their bedroom.
Christine laughs and stops swinging her legs, relaxing against him. Erik carried her into their bedroom and gently laid her on their now shared bed. Christine smiled at him before sliding back under the thick quilt of maroon. Erik smiles at her before he untied his tie and slipped off his shoes. He climbed under the quilt and quickly pulled Christine from her spot to be flush against his chest, causing Christine to smile and giggle.
"What's so funny, my angel?" Erik asked with a small smile pulling her tighter to him.
"I love you so much Erik." Christine gave a small smile and turned her head toward him for a kiss.
"I love you too, angel." Erik whispers into her ear before leaning in and kissing her lovingly. Christine smiled happily as Erik pulled away.
"Goodnight my angel." Erik says softly. Christine reaches up at cupped his deformed cheek and stroked it. Erik gasped quietly leaned into her hand.
"Goodnight, Erik." Christine replies softly back stroking his cheek one last time before turning her head back and closing her eyes to try and fall back asleep. Erik smiled as he felt his beautiful angel and wife's breathing even out as she fell back into slumber.
His wife.
His angel.
It all seemed too good to be true. But it mostly certainly was. The dainty gold wedding band on her ring finger said everything.
(Soooo if anyone actually reads this it might become a modern au...I dunno yet. Let me know what you think of it!)
