Chapter 1
I wake up to Jake's snoring again. I push him brutally to wake him. I don't honestly know why we share a room, I mean it's not that bad when he is in here I feel more protected than usually. If he is going to stay in here though I think he should at least get a real bed instead of the air mattress he found in his dad's attic .
"The sun it burns," he jokingly says.
"Ha . Ha . Very funny," I respond.
"You know I have to get my annual beauty rest," he says.
"You must not be that tired if you are joking around so much," I state .
"What do you want to do today Nessie ?" he asks me.
"I chose yesterday," I state.
"Fine we will go to La Push after you get dressed," he says.
When I get back he is asleep again , this time I don't hold back I kick him with all of my strength.
"Ow. I know I'm a werewolf and all but ow," he says.
"Ready?" he asks.
"Ready," I say in between laughs.
As I am running at vamp speed in the forest I realize how weird I felt this morning. It felt as if my throat had a rock in it and my stomach had a bunch of butterflies in it . I forget I am running and almost run into a tree.
"What is wrong with me," I think in my head.
"I don't know . I've been trying tout it figure it out since you started to talk ," I hear Jacob think to me.
Darn telepathy I forgot about it again. I wish he could just keep his thoughts to himself. I get there about twenty seconds before him . I act like I have been there forever though . I don't know why I am trying to impress him . It feels so weird though.
"How long have been waiting here?" he questions me.
" Long enough to know I'm to old for you to spy on me anymore and listen to my thoughts ," I say.
"You know I have no choice," he says.
"Why can I only read your mind and you can only read mine?" I ask.
" I don't know, maybe it is a gift," he says.
