Merryweather stood in the barely lit room, that she had never entered before, with an expression of complete shock on her face. Her eyes continued to scan the room. There were shelves filled with different kinds of poisons. She had known that Cain was referred to as the Earl of Poisons, but she had never even imagined that he'd have that many different kinds of poisons in his home. She stood as still as she could, trying to avoid accidentally hitting any of her brother's collection of poison. She had heard Cain say that not all of his poisons were dangerous, but she had also seen Riff's expression when Cain had made that comment. She looked around again, noticing how far away she was for the first time. Of course, she had chosen to go down there while Cain and Riff were both busy, mostly because they had both decided that she shouldn't be allowed to go anywhere near any of Cain's hobbies. Merryweather sighed, all she had wanted to do was learn more about her brother and what he actually liked, since he was so unimpressed by the majority of things she suggested.
She had finally started to calm herself down, and started to walk to the door, as slowly and carefully as possible. Merryweather was halfway to the door before she noticed the handle turning. She looked around, accepting her fate of doom and the lecture that she knew she was going to get. Merryweather sighed, and hoped that it would be Riff, and not Cain, because she had a chance of talking her way out of it with Riff. She doubted that she'd be that lucky, and watched the door as it began to open. Merryweather smiled when she saw Riff, but her happiness faded when she noticed that Cain was right behind him. Their expressions were a dead giveaway of how much trouble she had just gotten herself into, all just for the purpose of seeing her brother's collection of poisons. She could tell that Cain was more angry about her actions than Riff was, but he seemed like he had been worried about her.
