A/N: I really hope you guys enjoy this. I know I don't continue the majority of the stories I write, but this is an okay start, I think? Enjoy!
Amu walked sheepishly into her homeroom. Waving "hi" to Rima, she sat down in her seat, right next to window. As if it were routine, she propped up her left elbow, set her chin in the palm of her hand, took a big breath and started to daydream.
The last few days had been completely insane. She had been attacked by weird, shadowy figures every time she went outside! It's not like it was a surprise, though. She was part of a great Prophecy.
When Hinamori Amu turns seventeen,
She will be tortured by evil spirits,
Destined to be guarded by a single angel,
Who shall die by the hand of his own master.
Each birthday, a glowing white human-like apparition that recited those words over and over until Amu crumbled, crying over and over, visited Amu. She had never understood those words. She was sent to handle school and life by herself when she was ten, so she had to face the apparition all by herself for six years.
A week ago was her seventeenth birthday, and Amu couldn't rest easy since. Day after day she'd be tripped, pushed and laughed at by evil spirits, just as the prophecy said, but the only problem was she hadn't found her guardian.
Just then, Amu saw a tall, lean man walking across her campus. She inched closer to the window, and saw that his hair fell perfectly against neck. Her eyes widened. She went closer and closer, and the boy snapped his head to fix his eyes on Amu in the window. Her heart skipped a beat and she was about to stand up and see who he was when she felt a pinch on her neck.
"Get away!" she yelled, thinking it was another dark spirit – but it turned out to be Rima, staring at Amu's daydream state. Amu sighed. "I'm sorry Rima, I thought…"
"Don't explain," Rima said in monotone. "Class is going to start soon, so you should get your books out," she said and returned to her seat.
Amu took her books out of her bag and looked at the chalkboard, ignoring the laughing spirits that teemed around the room. She looked out the window one more time, but the boy was gone.
"See you later Amu!"
"Tomorrow, Amu!"
"Remember the test tomorrow!"
Shouts rang out throughout the campus as Amu walked fast-paced towards the exit gate and to home. She couldn't wait to heat up a nice cup of hot cocoa, prepare dinner and sit peacefully at her sofa while watching her favorite soap opera while doing her best to ignore the shadowy figures that danced around her, flicking food in her face and changing the channels. She knew it'd get worse, that this teasing was only the beginning.
She unlocked her door, threw her bag on the floor, and went right to her freezer. Screw making dinner, she'd thrive on ice cream tonight.
If I try cooking, they might throw a burning pot of water at me… she decided, inching away from the stove. She took a pint of strawberry ice cream and plopped down on her warm sofa…
Warm?
She whipped her head around to reveal a fair face that was adorned with piercing blue eyes and a sly half smile.
It was the boy from this morning!
"Hello there, Amu."
A/N: End! How was it? Ooh, I wonder who that blue-haired guy is.
I won't write the next chapter until I get a certain amount of reviews, because it's hard fitting in writing with a suuuper busy schedule.
I'd love to hear what you think!
Review! :D
