spoilers for SG-1, mostly general knowledge of characters and basic
pre - Lost City story arcs (meaning, yes, Daniel is alive and O'Neill
is still a Colonel). Star Wars: ROTS and that's as far as I dare say
on spoilers for that at this point.

a Dangerous Line Prologue
Death
It comes for everybody and everything eventually. It can come in many forms and many shapes. It can be agonizingly slow or mercifully quick. One can die in either extreme pain or not even be aware that they have crossed that thin line between life and death.
There are many ways for somebody to die. Some are beheaded; either in execution or as the only way that they can die. It can be as simple as a plane crash or as complex as betrayal. From radiation to simply old age, not even the greatest of warriors and heroes are immune to death's touch. One thing has always been clear: Once a being had met their life's conclusion, with very few exceptions, their story was at an end. Very few had come back from the oblivion of death.
Sometimes though even the great stories can be revived and the line between life and death can be blurred with great consequence.
