Longer than Forever.

Green/Red: Oneshot.

Disclaimer: Characters are not mine :) the written plot and story is though ahaha.

Red is quiet, Green had noticed from the very beginning.

He's not the one to speak out and everything about him is vague, as if he never wanted to show his emotions, as if he was hiding himself from the world behind those knowing crimson eyes.

Green loves him for it though.

When most would usually shy away from the champion or stop trying to interact with him altogether because of his lack of response, Green was never one of those people. He was always there, ready with a smile, emerald jade eyes that only rival his own name always watching, always studying his crimson eyed companion with an interest that could be interpreted as something entirely different from a stranger's point of view.

Red, Green noticed from the beginning, was also one to never act on his emotions.

He was highly intelligent and he plotted every move quietly in his head, responding to his surroundings only when it was absolutely necessary, Green involved or not. But then again, when Red was involved, Green pretty much already had his emotions down pat from a small twitch of discomfort to a flash of anger with a whiplash that Green knew would be as painful as the thunderbolt that Pikachu sent to him whenever he got too close to the red eyed trainer.

But this… this was new.

This possessive aura, the irritation clear on crimson eyes as the male took in the girl standing in front of them at that moment.

"So… what do you say, Green? Party at my house later?"

The flirtatious girl in front of him just smiled, trying to ignore Red as much as possible, no matter how hard that was. Inside though, Green was inwardly laughing when a glance at Red told him exactly how jealous he was getting at the fact that this random girl (who wasn't even worth his time compared to Red) was trying to hit him up.

"Sorry," He replied calmly with a smile, "I'm busy for…" he glanced at Red before leaning to clasp their hands together, "Forever?"

Crimson eyes widened before his cheeks matched, the layer of red dust making the male look that much more adorable as he looked down at their hands, then at the girl who was in between flustered and shocked.

"Longer than forever."

The raven haired male answered softly, eyes narrowing as he clasped back, tightly holding on to Green's hand as he glared at the girl who rose up before leaving with an indignant huff.

When she was gone the red eyed male tried pulling back with a shy glance at his best friend who wouldn't let go, an all too familiar smirk playing on his handsome face as he leaned closer with every inch that Red was trying to back up.

"Green…"

He murmured softly, but Green just chuckled.

"Red?"

"Wh-what are you doing…?"

And Green thinks that it's a day filled with miracles because even if jealous Red was a rarity, stuttering Red was a never. He blinks then smirks again, leaning even closer until their noses touched gently, Red's breath hitching when Green snaked his free arm around the other's waist.

"Longer than forever, right?"

He smiled before capturing the other's lips with his own meeting nothing but a small gasp before the other gave in, kissing back with a shy, hesitant movement.

Because they were more than best friends and because Green was the one who knew Red the best, both boys really couldn't have it any other way.
