All I could do is watch as Shane managed his way to the talismans that the Greencloaks gathered. This can't be happening.

"Uraza! Give me a boast to the talismans! Please Uraza, now!" I watched as my spirit animal crawled to me, and then boasted me up with all her remaining strength using her hind legs. Ouch. That one really hurt. I saw Uraza go into passive form. She's probably too exhausted to go on.

I soared over all the Greencloaks below me, using the harsh winds of Halawir's wings to my advantage. Soon enough, I reached the talismans. They were almost in Shane's hands. Over my dead body!

Quickly, I grabbed the talismans right in front of Shane's shocked face.

His face slowly curled up into a smirk and he lunged at me with a sword in his hand. Wait where did that come from? I step-sided to the left of me, only to get flown across the room by Halawir's wings. Ugh, there is definitely a bruise on my arm.

I felt a pull on my arm. Essix. Oh thank god. "Go Essix! Get these out of here!" I gave him the talismans but I kept Uraza's talisman to myself to help me get out of here. Using its strength, I pushed my way to Conor and Rollan just for safety measures. But of course something happens. I do have the second to most rotten luck in this group.

Halawir stopped beating his wings and guess what happened next. Suddenly, I felt a painful bite on my leg, immobilizing me with terror. I screamed bloody murder. I looked down to see Shane's crocodile biting on my foot, blood flowing down rapidly.

"Abeke! No!" I heard Conor yell. Before I could do anything else, the freaking crocodile dragged me down to the floor making the pain even more unbearable. Tears were streaming down my face. There were screams and shouts everywhere, but I couldn't hear them.

The crocodile dragged me with inhumane speed toward Shane. No. I struggled to get my ankle out of the crocodile's grip but with no avail. If anything changed, his teeth only sunk deeper until I heard a loud snap! Great. Thanks so much crocie! I only felt agonizing pain that I screamed bloody murder, again. If only Shane was deafened by that, but of course not. I'M not a Great Beast.

Shane's crocodile suddenly halted bringing more unbearable pain onto my leg. "If you want Uraza to live, I suggest you do as I say." A deep, threatening voice whispered into my ear. I felt a sharp knife on my arm, where Uraza rested in passive form. Well, fuck you Shane. I silently nodded.

Halawir was STILL beating down his wings, creating strong currents. I saw Rollan and the other Greencloaks try to get to me but were thrown back immediately.

I felt Shane's arms slither underneath my legs and back, carrying me bridle style. And I couldn't do anything. I felt so helpless. My friends were back there trying to get to me, but here I was, in Shane's arms with his knife on Uraza's mark. Silent tears streamed lowly down my face as I closed my eyes shut.

Hi guys! Sorry this chapter is short. I was having trouble on thinking of something. I don't know if I'm the only one, but I TOTALLY SHIP SHANE AND ABEKE! I think they'll look cute together. Anywho, if any of you have an idea that you would REALLY want something to happen in the story, just review/write/email/whatever it to me and I'll see what I can do. Enjoy!
