The Dancing Flame
Author: Zorra Reed

The dancing flame burning bright
keeping me company at night

High it jumps
It's soft flame glowing

But I do not feel the soft glow
the warmth on my face

Little do I heed the flames dance
swaying to and fro

The stone outside is growing cold
as the night chills

Evil is about
The world seems still and dark

I am cold tonight
sitting in the candles light

I am blind
Indulging in a wicked wine

I don't deserve the candles warm glow
for I betrayed it long ago.
