Stevie has struggled with only Turbo to help her bringing in a herd of wild cattle that were left behind last muster.
You have to have your wits about you working with them.
A rumbling thunderstorm is rolling in and Stevie is hoping she'll reach home without major mishap.

Alex and Fiona are out riding.
Alex is in a filthy mood.
Fiona lied to him yet again.
Yesterday he'd fought with Stevie their worst ever.
He was so angry with her she'd behaved weirdly since he'd arrived back with Fiona as his fiancé' and he had no idea why.
...
Yesterday he'd accused her of jealousy and told her she wasn't much of a friend if she couldn't be happy for him.
He loved Stevie and had for a long time.
She'd only wanted him as a friend.
Broken hearted he'd tried to get over her.
Fiona happened along.
She was fun initially so he just went with it.
Now he regretted taking up with her.
But mostly he regretted being so mean to Stevie.
The hurt in her eyes when he'd accused her of not being a good friend, broke his heart and he could see the tears brimming in her eyes when she'd turned and strode away from him.

Alex spots a large mob ahead of them and says. "That's a big mob for Stevie to move on her own Fi, come on we'll give her a hand."
"No Alex this ride is supposed to be just you and me. I'm sick to death of Stevie Hall." Fiona snarled.
"Fine stay here I'm going to help her." Alex growled back.
...
"Need a hand?' Alex asked riding up to Stevie.
She really doesn't want to be near him especially while he has the bitch with him but agrees purely because she wants to get home quickly.
"I need a wee Alex can we go home?' Fiona grumped.
"Oh for crying out loud do you have to be such a god damn princess all the time. Squat behind a bush like the rest of us." Stevie snapped.
Fiona slides of her horse and walks off away from Stevie and Alex.
"That's a bit harsh Stevie." Alex grumbles.
"Piss off Alex she doesn't fit in, she shouldn't be here." Stevie replies.
"Just give her a chance."
"I don't want to Alex." She yells.
He yells back. "Stevie tell me why you don't like her?'
The lightning cracks around them and neither notices the herd's agitation.
"Answer me!" He yells.
Her chin quivers and she says "Because I love you and it hurts seeing you with her. I wish you'd never brought her here."
He looks shocked.

An almighty crack strikes beside them.
The horses shy Stevie is thrown to the ground.
Alex dismounts.
Sweeping her up into his arms as the herd stampedes .
Stevie holds onto him as he runs for cover.
Neither thinks of Fiona.
...
Fiona's mangled , bloodied body is taken away by the police.
Alex tells them he didn't see what happened and he certainly doesn't tell them it's because he was kissing Stevie at the time...
