"Okay class, now that we are done with our Romeo and Juliet unit, we will be writing fictional stories! You can write about anything you want, as long as it is school appropriate. I want it to be at least fifty pages long. This is a big assignment worth nearly thirty percent of you semester grade, so I suggest you take it seriously! You will have the rest of the semester to work on it, plus your free time. Now get started!" Mrs. Smith said sternly.
All the kids groaned. This was going to take forever! Plus, what were they supposed to write about that the teacher would be halfway interested in? This was just going to be another assignment that they were going to have to spend hours upon hours on, in hopes of getting at least a B.
Alex sat at his desk thinking about ideas to write about for about fifteen minutes before it hit him. His life story! Even though it was true, nobody would believe him. He would have plenty to write about. Starting from how it all began to all of his missions. Blunt and Jones would be furious if they found out, but how would they? The teacher and maybe her student assistant would be the only ones to read it.
So, he started right away.
It all began when my uncle died.

Three weeks later Alex proudly turned in his story. He had only missed a week of school during that time and of course that absence was described in his story! He was itching to know what the teacher thought of it, but he would have to wait until she was done grading it...

It was the beginning of next semester and Alex had still not got his story back. He had turned it in nearly six weeks ago! Right when he was about to question his teacher on it, she called him up to her desk.
"Alex, I have some very exciting news! Your story was so good, that I had it published! I didn't want to tell you until everything was settled. I am so proud of you, your writing has come so far. I felt almost as if your story was true! But, we both know that's not possible."
Alex only had one thought CRAP!

"Blunt, you need to see this!" Mrs. Jones called frantically .
Blunt hurried over, eager to see what the problem was.
Mrs. Jones held up the book.
The Adventures of Alex Rider.
Blunts face turned a bright shade of red. He was beyond furious. Too furious to speak. His eyes stayed glued to the cover of the book for at least another fifteen minutes.
Mrs. Jones sighed. At least it was a best seller. Right?
