A/N-thingy: This is a cute little chapter about Miharu and Yoite that I had dancing around in my head all day.
Finally, I've managed to turn it into a story and here's the result!

Read and tell me what you think, please.

Enjoy!

To wish upon a snowflake.

Pure white, frozen petals of snow fell around Yoite and Miharu who were lying in the middle of a once-upon-a-time green field, hugging each other close for both warmth and comfort.

Winter had officially ended a week ago but mother nature had seemed to disagree and had scattered blankets of snow pretty much everywhere, piling it all up into quite an impressive amount.

"What do you want to do next?"

Yoite glanced at the other male at this, a slight frown visible on his face. They had spent the whole day building snowmen, making snow-angels and having snowball-fights. As far as he knew, there wasn't much else to do.

"I don't know."

Miharu nodded at this and turned to lay on his back, blinking as the snowflakes landed on his face and in his eyes, sticking to his eyelashes and his hair.

"Me neither."

Yoite 'hmm'-ed at Miharu's response and mirrored the male's position, lying on his back next to him.

They remained that way for a long time, both staring up at the sky and simply enjoying each other's company until Yoite spoke up suddenly.

"They look like stars."

Miharu turned to look at his friend, a small smile tugging at his lips. "You really think so?"

Yoite nodded and reached out, holding his hand up and waiting for a single snowflake to land in the palm of his hand before closing it and letting it fall to his chest.

"Miharu..."

"Yes, Yoite?"

"Do you think it would be possible, to wish upon a snowflake?"

Miharu thought about it for a second, staring at the frozen stars that came fluttering down.

"Yes," he said, sounding completely confident. "They're just like falling stars, after all."

Yoite nodded at this and glanced down at the closed hand on his chest, smiling softly.

"I wish for this day to never end."
