The Rage of Hades

This obsession burns within my being, the constant churning of this tormented existence for I love unwillingly. As if an arrow from Eros himself has pierced my heart - fool - if I find he has shot me blindly I will tear off his wings. Curse to Aphrodite for bearing such a wicked son! Since seeing the object of my obsession the walls of my domain seem empty, colder...dead.

Death has never bothered me it is the bidding of my brother Zeus I am here - so far away from the others - someone had to rise to the challenge, gods only know what would have happened had Athena or forbid Poseidon take my duty. No, they have their own roles to play. It has been long since Hebe served me ambrosia or speaking of the count of Aries all the while Aphrodite touching his leg. Foolish pair, illicit pair - almost feel sorry for Hephaestus...almost.

Then Demeter...the one goddess I do not understand her prosperity and renewal of grain and season - it is to stable - things never die - unnatural!

No reason to dwell on what can never be I am not meant for them. Simply move on from thoughts of community...until she came along. Cursed girl so supple and perfect the strands of golden hair waiting the touch of my hand! Curse her mother for bearing such a marvelous creation; that young body and alluring smile, Aphrodite need worry for that creation holds my eye more than the love goddess ever could. Zeus the proud father of yet another love affair behind the back of Hera - if but I could have so many affair...who wants to live here though.

Zeus himself said I could possess her, Demeter would never approve the sight of me makes her curse. Then who is she to me I am the Lord of the Underworld! I control everything in this domain I am the eternal resting place for man and beast alike! Who is she to challenge my bidding! I must have the little lamb that is so innocent and pure!

I will have Persephone!
