Shemé-

Shemé walked through the forest, the leaves crunching under her feet. Her sides throbbed from her battle with the demon with the spider shaped scar on its back. Hidden in her kimono was a jewel shard, she had found it on one of her walks through the forest by her village one afternoon and had taken it home. Ever since then demons had been attacking her village to get it. She had a strong feeling that she needed to protect it and keep it from falling into the hands of demons.

SNAP! The sound of snapping twigs caused Shemé to stop dead in her tracks. She drew her (Chopsticks?) From the ponytail on her head and braced herself for what lay in the bushes. Hopefully it was just bandits, she could easily dispatch them.

To fast to see what it was a creature ran out and crashed into Shemé. As they landed Shemé cracked her head against a rock but quickly recovered, for the creature, which she now realized was a demon, had turned and started to swipe with its dagger-like claws at Shemé. Jumping up on her feet she started to jab at the demon with her (chopsticks?) she ducked and dodged the demon's claws as the demon charged at her roaring in furry, every time her (Chopsticks?) made contact.

Shemé fell backwards as the claws of the demon connected with her jaw tearing the skin creating a deep jagged gash across her chin and cheek. She felt the warm wetness of her blood begin to flow through the cut. She had already lost enough blood trying to defend her village from the demon with the spider shaped scar, and if she lost much more she would die. Her body was already going numb and she watched helplessly from where she lay as the demon prepared to inflict a killing blow upon her. She closed her eyes and waited, she would surly die.

Kukana-

Kukana watched as the small human closed her eyes preparing for the deadly blow from the demon attacking her. She had to save her, jumping off her spot on a tree branch she transformed. Flurries of snow blew around her as she did so. She landed gracefully on her feet; she had to protect the girl.

Shemé-

Shemé opened her eyes when she heard the loud roar of a large creature. The demon attacking her turned to face its new opponent. Standing on the ground was a huge cat-like creature, its paws covered in ice, black and white fur covered its entire body and its long saber-teeth were bared.

The demon that had been attacking Shemé roared and charged at the creature, with its back to Shemé. Now was her chance, she unsheathed her sword and hoisted it above her head running forward. The demon turned just as her sword came down on its head, cutting it in half, showering both Shemé and the cat-like creature with blood.

Kukana-

Kukana looked at the bloodied human; her cheek had a huge gash, of which blood was flowing freely from. Her hair was matted and her clothes tattered. Kukana cautiously moved forward, trying not to startle the human, and laid down in front of her a gesture telling the human to climb on her back. The human looked reluctant but climbed on Kukana's back anyway. Once the human was secure Kukana quickly darted through the forest, she could sense that another demon was coming and she did not want to stick around, the human was in danger of dying.

Shemé-

The black creature was a demon. Did it want to kill her too? It slowly approached Shemé and laid down in front of Shemé. Its red eyes stared at her. It wanted her to climb on its back, she knew that much, but she was still unsure. She had been taught not to trust a demon and that if you have a chance to kill one do because it will do much worse to you so why was this demon helping her?
