Slytherins Never Lie

By MissInDenial

A/N: A Harry Potter drabble about Salazar Slytherin and Helga Hufflepuff, who- apparently- had anger-management issues. I don't mean to offend the 'Puffs!

Disclaimer: No, I do not own Harry Potter and most likely never will. Though, I DO own my writing. I just don't own the characters. And, this is not being sold nor am I gaining any profit from this.

Helga should have known better to try to catch Salazar in his act, but Helga had her mindset and we all know how those Hufflepuffs can be. The historians were the farthest away from the real founder, for she could never have been the kind, scattered-brain women that they believed her to be. Though, instead of taking my word for it, why don't you see for yourself?

"Salazar Sebastian Slytherin!" Helga shrieked, "What do you have behind your back?"

"Nothing that would interest you, I'm afaid," Salazar replied, pretending to look crestfallen and failing horribly.

"Fine then," she hissed, narrowing her eyes in suspicion, "What are you levitatingbehind your back?"

"Absolutely nothing." Now, what Salazar said wasn't completely a lie. If you had looking from behind, you would have noticed that he dropped the levitated book into his awaiting hands.

"What. Are. You.Holding," Helga grinded out, stressing each syllable.

"Nothing," he stated truthfully, for he had levitated the book once again.

Helga, being the intelligent women she was, knew that Salazar was up to something. Catching something moving behind Salazar back merely just confirmed her theory. "Would you stop that!?!?!" she shrieked.

"Doing what, Helga?" Salazar asked, still feigning innocence, despite the fact that an amused smirk was threatening to appear on his face.

"Doing what," she paused, "What you were doing!"

"Helga, dear, youmust be more precise then that."

"Augh! Just hand it OVER!"

"Hand what over?"

"The," she once again paused, "thing you're holing!" Helga was quite certain it was an object that would do direct harm to someone or something; she just felt that she would rather get the confession from Salazar himself. Possibly.

"What if I'm not holding anything?" Salazar replied, still keeping his calm demeanor.

"But you are! I saw you sneak in here with it!"

"Helga," he began, sounding exasperated, "I'm not holding anything." Once again, Salazar did not lie. He simply levitated the book again.

"Then what are youhiding?" she hissed, leaning towards him.

"Helga, Helga… It does so happen that I am holding many things. I will tell you once more: you must be more presice." Salazar calmly stated, finally giving into the temptation to smirk. Helga, on the other hand, gave into the temptation to tackle Salazar to the kitchen floor, all while shrieking- quite an accomplishment. Of course, Salazar did try to escape, but Helga was faster. She yanked his book straightout of his levitation charm.

Salazar turned towards Helga, acting as if he was not just chased around the extremely small kitchen by a very angry 'Puff, and calmly stated, "Helga, if you wanted to borrow my book so badly, you just had to ask."

A shocked Helga let Salazar's possession fall from her numb fingers, with a discreetly hidden knife tip poking out of the books pages. Salazar then calmly walking over to the fallen book, picked it up while discreetly pushing the knife tip back in. He then gracefully walked away from the site, gliding pass an irritated Rowena and Godric, who was attempting to keep his laughter at bay.
