Well, here you go again people. A new fic, again written by the amazing Natasja and moi.
It´s about Addison and Naomi writing each other letters.
I am writing Addison´s letters and Natasja writes the ones from Naomi.
So, I came up with this as I listened to the song „Living in your letters" by Dashboard Confessials.
My first letter is from the 15 year old Addison Forbes Montgomery to her friend Naomi, who visits a British boarding school in Bristol.
Living in your letters
Hartford, the 28th of October.1983
Dear Naomi,
It seems like forever since you left, but it has only been two weeks. Okay, two endless weeks.
School sucks without you. And I mean a seriously awful kind of sucking!
Sorry about complaining to you, but since you know I don´t have a diary and would never ever buy one, I can´t help but complain to you.
How is Bristol?
I hope the bad British weather is only a cliché and it´s not all that boring.
Anyway, to go back to some better things, and yes, there actually are some good things here.
Not much, but some. I got to pick new classes and am looking forward to one year less of high school and that hierarchy, the bitchy cheerleaders and all the other judgmental people here.
So, YAY. This year I´ve decided on a literature class, math, which so will kill me this year, almost failed last year and well, Latin. I loathe myself for choosing that crap! And only because everyone was like "It´s so easy!" hell, they never ever had Latin!!!
But you already know about my severe dislike for Latin and share it. I guess it will just be a few years of dreadful, long and plain boring lessons and hopefully it´ll pay off.
Wow, we really do go through a lot just to get into med school.
School is just like it used to be. Well, with one difference, you´re not here and now I am the total geek, who´s just ignored by everyone around.
I hope Bristol works better for you than Hartford does for me.
Oh, and did you find the map in the envelope?
I didn´t want to fold it, but it´s so expensive to get it to England without folding. I hope it isn´t all damaged and if it is, let me explain what it should´ve looked like before putting it in the mailbox:
It was supposed to remind you of home. And well, I collected leaves and all that stuff and stuck it on there. The small piece of wood is from the big tree in the park, close to the little brook. The feather is from one of the owls that nested close to your house.
And the rest kind of explains itself.
I hope you really have a great time in Bristol and will come and visit me soon! It´s getting boring around here. Not even horse riding is that much fun without you and shadow misses you too. She always looks at me with a look that screams "Bring her back!". You would like how the forest looks now. Maybe Fleur won´t be all that anxious and jumpily so I can take some pictures for you!
I have to go now. Horses are waiting for me!
Bye and hope you have a great time in Bristol and won´t forget me!
Love, Addison
