I rushed through the dark damp forest, my auburn hair trailing behind me in the wind like a banner. I was trying to get away- from everything I knew, from everything I didn't, everything I never would, and everything I shouldn't. As a single crystal tear shimmied down my cheek, and flew off my face behind me, I ran farther still into the woods. Farther and farther and farther. My heart was pounding, my armpits were sweating, and I didn't care. I just didn't care.

How could they do this to me, I wondered, another moist tear finding its way onto my porcelain skin. How could they lie to me, and betray me, when they knew what I was all along? My thoughts rushed through my head, like I was rushing through the forest. But, I thought, what if the hadn't known? What if they thought I was lying to them.

I continued to run

And run.

And run.

Until suddenly...I couldn't.

I couldn't take it anymore. I collapsed against a tall, mossy tree, and I began to weep.

And then I heard a voice. It was strange, yet comforting, yet strong. "Are you all right?"

I stared up, up into the eyes of a man. He was cute. "Pardon me, but if I was, would I really be weeping against a mossy tree?"

He chuckled. "No, I guess not." Extending his hand out to me, he said, "Why don't you come with me? I can help you."

"Ok," I said, standing up. "I am Rose Thorn. What is your name?"

He began to lead me out of the forest. This time, I didn't run. "My name," he told me, "Is LEGOLAS."
