Kanda briskly walks along the near empty road, accompanied by three finders, he overhears the three, Dimitri, Maria, and Nathan, chatting idly about what the rest of the day might have in store, Dimitri asks Nathan about dinner, promptly followed by a semi sized list of what Nathan and Maria were planning to cook.
"M-master exorcist..." Maria suddenly jogged up behind Kanda "You do know where we're going right?"
"The Asian branch."
"Ah... alright... i've never-"
"Maria! He's from the Asian branch i'm sure he knows where he's going!" Dimitri yelled.
Kanda sighs in relief as Maria falls back behind him.
"He's a general... why do we need to be here?" Nathan whispered.
"I heard he ran away from the order for a bit before coming back and becoming a general actually... we're just here to make sure he doesn't run off between central and the Asian branch." Dimitri whispered back.
"Why did an exorcist run off though?" Maria asked quickly.
"Dunno... you've seen akuma right?" Nathan asked.
"No..."
"I haven't either but I hear they're disgusting..."
"You'd be right about that." Dimitri huffs "I've only seen a level one... hate to see anything higher."
"You'll likely die if you see anything higher." Kanda states.
The finders fall quiet and look at each other.
Nathan clears his throat "I-Is it true you killed a noah?"
"Yeah."
"So... what was it like inside the Ark?"
"I'm not going to talk about it."
"..."
"What happened at the Asian branch a few months ago?"
"... If you talk see anyone there you can probably get answers."
The finders looked at each other before falling in line to follow Kanda again.
Kanda is just grateful they stopped talking, practicing caution until he's on his own, but even then. Regardless of who he knows is lurking.
~{{POV CHANGE: ALMA KARMA, THREE DAYS PRIOR}}~
Alma looks around at the large spread of mountains surrounding the Asian branch, not that he's been here before, he stumbled upon it by accident, having run into a particular guardian who was sitting outside in the sun. A gentle smile forms on his lips "Hello… I think we've met before."
Fou stares up at him "You're supposed to be dead d-"He blasts her to nothing and begins to destroy the Asian branch, tunnel by boring tunnel, at least he thinks it's boring.
Another hour later he's sure everyone is dead he looks around, the place is next to flat.
"Pity… no one survived."
