Summary: random drabble based on the brothers background and half-implied events in chapters 388-389, take it as a lookup in Itachi's and Sasuke's heads; that's all I can say, really.

Do you think I hate you? Do you think I think so little of you?

Why do I show love trough hate? Why can't I answer to your smiles with gentle eyes?

What do you think I feel when I look up at the sky?

How can I know what you think when you look at me from so far away?

Maybe I lost it at some point, I was walking on that path on a foggy day, and my vision was blurred away by an idyllic world I thought was right.

You think I am wrong.

I think you're foolish.

What happened to split us apart?

How did we end being so distant to each other?

In the end, I only wanted to show you the road to my dream, my own selfish dream. But we ended walking trough endless dead-ends nightmares, looking for nothing but pipe-dreams.

Always bitter.

Always miserable.

However the very same fire I had in my eyes has died in yours and here I stand, willing to take them down the abysm of my sin.

Only you think of it as a sin.

The abysm I caved with my bare, would you follow me there?

Will I be able to ever escape you?

Now that you run to catch my shadow.

Now that you wish so much to take my life away.

What a pitiful longing.

There's no mercy left in me.

I believe I could take your little body within my arms and think you were still this innocent dreamer in which eyes I was all.

I am forever tainted for the blank canvas has been filled in ominous colors.

But you are no more.

I am no more. And you are no more as well.

So what fate awaits me now?

All light has left me.

All I feel is your breath.

Your warmth against my skin is fading.

I hear your voice hoarse and raspy.

I hear your voice harsh yet tired.

I can but imagine your words are gentle.

I can but dream my sin will end with you.

It shall end at your hands.

With your hands only.
