guess who said that)
This one's been known to get people welled up. (at
least, that's what it was with my family, but maybe they were tears of
laughter...hmmmm...)
Anyways, it was basically the founding bit to a
song I wrote. But I won't bore you with that...

Because You're Gone
Standing there, all alone.
Because of you.
No one now at my side.
Because of you.
Because you helped me.
Because you healed my broken heart.
Because you made me believe.
Because you gave me hope.
Because the four of us together made the image that marks the place where you lay now.
Because you would've wanted that.
Because the breeze slowly moves around me
Almost whispering to me as if
You were there.
Because you were.
But then it fades
Because you did also
Just before you fell...
Because no waterbending can stop these tears
Because every soft whistle of wind through the trees
Reminds me of you
Because no comforting words can make me feel as safe,
Just as secure, like you did.
Because of you now, the world is free
Except for one person--me.
Because no amount of healing can mend a broken heart.
Because you're gone.
