My name is Kaede, and I need help.
Her name is Lucy, and she lives in my head.
She hurts me, day in and out.
Even as I stare in the bathroom mirror, I see her sitting in my brain and tearing it apart.
My knuckles turn white as they cling to the sink basin, but red under Lucy's gaze.
Lucy makes me see so much red that it makes me sick to think my eyes are the same color.
Could I just take them out?
No, no…It would hurt too much.
When it hurts, I am left defenseless.
When I am defenseless, someone tries to hurt me.
As sad as it may sound to a human, it is the reality in which I live.
The face in the mirror distorts to her image, covered in red and naked.
She is laughing at my pathetic nature, again.
She is pushing me to the edge of insanity, again.
I want her to stop.
When I punch her face, she is still there and remains unfazed.
The glass in my knuckles sting, but it is the red that flows that I am concerned about.

With tears in my eyes, I shake my head.
The headache won't go away.
