FINALLY! Finally, I was able to get the first chapter of the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit crossover. I've just been working out the stuff and all that, making sure my OC's powers fit in this time of era. Seriously though, the clothing was the hardest though, but I got there. Now, this was inspired by HandassassinSpider-man's Web of Middle-Earth, but mines goes through the Hobbit movies, to the Shadow of Mordor and War Games, to The Lord of the Ring movies.
Pairing: OC x Arwen x Shelob x Tauriel (not 100% sure on this one, need to think of a good romance for them)
Now, since my OC is the son of the Dark Lord Morgoth, Sauron's master, and the Primordial Spider Ungoliant, George is very, very, powerful.
As for his weapons, he has Wolfsbane and Darkstride sheathed at his hips like most warriors do like Aragon, Boromir, you get the idea.
Armour/clothing: He'll be wearing black Angel of Death gloves from Darksiders 2, the same pants Death starts off with In Darksiders 2, Daedric boots from Skyrim, and the Nightingale armour from Skyrim as well, but without the cape. For his face, he'll just wear Death's mask from Darksiders 2.
Now, let's get started
Middle-Earth, an ancient and vast land that's seen it's share of things, great and terrible, since it's creation thousands and thousands of years ago by the Valar. The inhabitants were numerous and diverse, yet there were some who are good, others evil... Some even in between...
One such being was journeying through the night on a black horse with red eyes towards the village of Bree. His body was mostly covered by the black elfish cloak he was wearing, so not much of his description was there. The hood was up,covering his face from being seen. Anyway, he was journeying towards Bree because he had heard rumors that the father of one of his Dwarven friends was seen somewhere in the wild.
He eventually reached and entered the village of Bree and had his horse stay at the stables before making his way through the muddy ground and raining sky. He glanced wearily at some of the people around him, you never know just who was watching you when it comes to enemies.
He stopped at an inn and looked up at the sign that said 'the Prancing Pony'. Nodding to himself, he walked in and saw everyone enjoying themselves, conversing with one another about many things. He went over to a table and sat down, taking off his cloak to reveal a cold looking mask, that looked like it was made from bone, covering his face. He reached up and took the mask off to reveal a handsome face with brown eyes and long, shoulder length black hair.
He placed the mask within his cloak before asking for some food when the waitress past. He looked around with narrowed eyes for awhile before the woman came back with his order.
"Thank you." He said before eating as she went away. He was like this for a couple of minutes when he noticed someone sit in the chair next to him and looked to see... "Thorin, old friend." He said, grasping the dwarf's arm as a sign of greeting.
Thorin, son of Thrain, smiled as he said. "George. I knew I recognised Shadowmere at the stables." He gave his order to the waitress as George eat his own supper.
"Well, I came here because I hear what you've no doubt hear about Thrain." George said, looking around as he lightly rubbed one of his sword's hilts when noticing two people watching them with glares. "We got two who might stir up trouble." He whispered to Thorin, who had gotten his supper, getting a nod from the former prince of Erebor.
The two grabbed their swords in readiness when the two men stood up and the bald, fat one began walking towards them slowly before suddenly a old man in a grey cloak sat down in front of them, getting the Son of Morgoth and the son of Thrain's attention on him.
"Mind if I join you?" He asked kindly before stopping the waitress. "I'll have the same." George and Thorin relaxed when the two men backed off, before looking at the Wizard George knew was Gandalf, an old friend of his. "I should introduce myself, my name is Gandalf." Thorin looked at him while George was amused. "Gandalf the Grey."
Thorin nodded. "I know who you are, George has mentioned you before."
Gandalf chuckled. "Well now, this is a fine chance. What brings Thorin Oakenshield and George to Bree?" He asked.
Thorin looked at George, who nodded, and Thorin explained. "I received word that my father was seen in the wilds near Dunland. I went looking," Thorin shook his head, "found no sign of him."
"I came for the same purpose. I always did want to find out what happened the day he went missing after the battle at Moria." George said, looking at Thorin at the mention of the Mines of Moria. George was in that battle against the Orcs,Thorin no doubt didn't want to remember it because his grandfather, Thror, was killed by Azog.
Gandalf said solemnly. "Thorin, it's been a long time since anything but rumor was heard of Thrain."
Thorin gave him a look. "He still lives. I am sure of it." He said firmly as the waitress brought Gandalf his order. "My father came to see you before he went missing. What did you say to him?"
George looked at Gandalf with a raised eyebrow as the Wizard explained. "I urged him to march upon Erebor." George sighed quietly and closed his eyes. Erebor was once ruled by the dwarves before the dragon, Smaug, came and took it from them. "To rally the seven armies of the dwarves. To destroy the dragon and take back the Lonely Mountain. And I would say the same to you, Thorin. Take back you're homeland."
"I see that meeting with Thrain didn't go well then." George said as took a sip of the beer he had. "None would dare enter that mountain while Smaug still guards it. Dragons love their obsession with good more than they love themselves."
Thorin took a drink from his cup before asking. "This is no chance meeting is it, Gandalf?" He asked knowingly.
"No." The Wizard said seriously. "It is not. The Lonely Mountain troubles me, Thorin, that dragon has sat there long enough. Sooner or later, darker minds will turn towards Erebor. I ran Into some unsavoury characters whilst travelling along the Greenland. They mistook me for a vagabond."
"They regretted that, I guess." George said in amusement as Gandalf began taking something out.
"One of them was carrying a message." He pushed the parchment across to Thorin and George tensed with a frown at the black speech on the parchment. "It'd Black Speech." He glanced at George, knowing the son of Morgoth read it.
"It's a promise of payment." George said, before looking at Thorin. "For your head." Thorin looked between them, tense and alarmed. "Someone wants you dead, Thorin."
"Yes." Gandalf nodded. "Thorin, you couldn't wait for no longer. You are the heir to the throne of Durin. Unite the armies of the dwarves. Together, you have the might and power to retake Erebor. Summon a meeting of the seven dwarf families, demand they stand by their oath."
"That oath is to the one who wields the King's Jewel, the Arkenstone." George said, looking around in case someone heard them.
Thorin nodded. "He is right. It is the only thing that will unite and in case you have forgotten that jewel was stolen by Smaug!" Thorin hissed as they noticed the two men from earlier leaving after glancing back at them.
Gandalf looked at the two. "What if I were to help you reclaim it?"
George gave him a look. "How? That jewel lies half a world away, in a mountain filled with good, buried and guarded beneath the feet of a fire-breathing dragon."
"Yes." Gandalf nodded before smirking. "Which is why we're going to need a burglar."
Thorin and George looked at each other and both hoped this would work. Smaug had been in that mountain for nearly 60 years now, that's how long he's not been seen. But, if there is a chance to take back the Dwarven mountain, Thorin will take it and George would assist his friend in doing so. He and Smaug had some history together, before the dragon took the mountain...
...Let's just say, the son of Morgoth had a score to settle with that dragon.
And that is it for the first chapter. As you see, George has a history with both Smaug and Thorin, was their for the Battle at Moria, and has a score to settle with Smaug. Next chapter will be George and Gandalf meeting a certain hobbit, then George meeting some familiar dwarves.
