Chapter X - In the Void
If there was one thing she knew, it was that she was unsafe.
Whatever possessed her to wake up from her slumber must've had malicious intent, seeing as she awoke to a bright light in her face, nothing but white filling her senses. Had she been in a better mental state, she would be asking herself questions, trying to remove herself from the light, yet something seemed to be holding her back. She felt as if all she had were her eyes.
Her eyes adjusted slowly to the light, figures were made above her, and the source of the light became clear. It seemed to be a rectangular shape of pure light that was situated over her head. And in the space around her, she saw figures in blue, with white shapes over the body. There was no sense to what she was seeing, yet there was movement. Only small movements, the shapes would float towards one side and move back to position, or they would appear to expand or contract.
Yet in a moment her eyes were wide open, and her vision became more clear, she soon fixated her eyes on a thin metal needle, with the prick inches away from her nose. Aware of this danger so close to her face, she felt nothing. There was no fear about what would happen, no uncomfortable feeling about what would happen to her. If anything, the needle bored her. There was nothing exciting about the needle being closer to her, and her fascination lied elsewhere.
It was in the bright light where she felt herself entranced. Blinding as it was, she couldn't help but let her eyes stare into the white. It was in the white where she felt that, her, somehow she was unsafe. Perhaps it was due to the shape of it, it wasn't round but rectangular. Or it was the size of it, so large and so far away, yet to her it seemed like it was the only thing around her.
The reaction to close her eyes came soon after, and when her eyes did shut, she felt a prick. A small shot of pain, in an area she couldn't identify on her own, but was an area where she could feel. The instinct to open her eyes crossed her, yet she lost the strength to open them. There was a passing thought of fear, that she may have lost the ability to see, but all of that was immediately lost.
Blank. Everything became blank to her. There was no senses that she could register, but there was nothing she could remember about herself. There soon became nothing to her, but her conscious. However her conscious had nothing to explore. No memories, no aspirations, no senses, no nothing. All she was was her conscious. Not asleep, and not awake.
Nothing but a conscious.

"The world… the people… they're all so tasteless…"

"Life… death… what does it all matter?…"

"When will it all make sense?…"

"I have an idea."
Yes, so this is a SYOC, as you can probably tell. Which means, I am looking for 16 character applications, 8 males and 8 females, all with their varying talents and hopeful aspirations.
The rules for submitting a OC are very similar to other SYOCs, so please don't submit any canon talents (the main exception is Good Luck/Lucky Student) or OCs that have been accepted in other SYOCs. Please be descriptive, the more information you can give me the better understanding I'll have for your characters. Preferably, I'd like to have Japanese students, although I will make only one exception for an exchange student, or something similar.
I will be updating this story with talents submitted, and will directly PM people about whether their character has or hasn't been accepted. Submissions are not first in first served, so the PM may come sometime later. Also, if there are any questions I have about your OCs, I will also be asking through PM. That being said, please do not submit your characters through reviews.
As much as I can tell you about the plot of this particular killing games, the theme is identity. If possible, try to incorporate that into your character apps. You do not have to follow the theme, but it is a major theme for the entirety of the story. A clue, if you will.
If you have any questions regarding this story, please feel free to PM me! I will answer as soon as I can!
With that all out of the way, here's the app (and being the perfectionist i am, i won't be putting it on my profile but i will gladly pm you a blank one if necessary). Can't wait to see the many talented characters!
