Ah… Spring…Blood. Its striking crimson stood out against the pale-colored, shredded wallpaper and severely scratched wooden floor. It was the most prominent article around; apart from the severed limbs and decapitated heads.
The killer stood there, with a bloody knife in hand. A sadistic smile played upon his lips while admiring his latest masterpiece.
His grin faded as he felt a cold hand clutching his ankle.
"Please… Stop…" the unknown individual choked out.
Without even thinking, he stomped on the person's heart, crushed it, killing him permanently.
Finally… Some peace… The killer took another glance of the massacre and walked off leisurely, as if nothing happened.
With hands pocketed, the surroundings suddenly seemed oblivious to him as he heard a familiar tune. He was soon in a trance. Unexpectedly, he felt a sharp pain in his chest. He tilted his head downwards. His eyes widened as he came face to face with a sword stained with his scarlet blood.
The killer plummeted to the ground, with his eyes in the back of his head. All that was visible was ashen orbs.
"We should head back to the mansion, Sebastian," a voice enunciated.
"Yes. My lord," was all that Ciel needed to hear.
~~~At the Phantomhive mansion~~~
"Just to let you know, young master, Elizabeth-sama is visiting later on… blahblahblahblahblah……" Ciel was looking out of the colossal window, not having a care in the world to what Sebastian was saying.
"Young master? Young master?!" Ciel snapped to his senses. The demon butler's crimson eyes gave off the were-you-even-listening-to-me look.
Sebastian eventually gave up.
A few moments of silence later, a pleasant ring of the doorbell was heard. Ciel let a 'tch' slide out of his mouth upon learning that it was Elizabeth. Did she really have to visit so often? It was so unnecessary…
He spat out his Japanese green tea like a fountain, splattering it everywhere when Elizabeth barged into his room without warning screaming "Ciel-kun!" at the top of her high-pitched chibi voice. Sebastian held back a chuckle as he took an embroidered handkerchief and gently wiped the stains on Ciel's mouth. God! He, Ciel, hated when Elizabeth does that! But what could he possibly do? She was his fiancée… How did they get engaged by the way? Nobody knows…
An awkward silence broke out in the room. Tanaka-san was the one who dispelled it by his random '.ho'…
Ciel motioned Sebastian to fetch his over-priced chessboard, and the others to leave Elizabeth and him alone.
"So… I guess you wanna brush up your chess skills?" Ciel questioned.
"Ya… I guess so…" Elizabeth blushed at the thought of Ciel being so nice.
As they fondled with the chess pieces, Sebastian stood by the side while playing the violin. "Ah… Spring…" he thought out loud. Ciel, with his sharp hearing, heard that and sent a death glare in his way.
