She gasped as a rush of air seemed to move away from their bodies, almost as though the sky was letting them enter into a magical land of its own.
"Hold on tight." He grinned with both hands grasped over Charlie's.
"Wait, there's no seatbelts! Ooh—!" Charlie kept her fingers glued to the broomstick as they ascended higher. He let out a thrilling laugh that broke through the pollen filled night sky. The stars above gleamed and shimmered in reaction at the sound of such joy.
"W-What if Percy catches us? My God, Wood…he'd give us double detentions. Triple, even! And he'll probably try to convince McGonagall reasons for us to be…apart," she whispered loudly, her eyes wide and fearful.
"That's quite alright," he mumbled into her ear. "We'll never part. And as long as we're together, we're invincible."
She snorted. "Only you would think that."
"I would!" Charlie could tell that he was rather satisfied with himself for being able to take her breath away so quickly. "And stop calling me Wood! My name is Oliver."
"Oh, just shut up and fly, you git," Charlie grumbled irritably, trying her hardest to conceal her sheer amazement. It was honestly a stupid thing to do, since Oliver had already seen right through her. He knows that she's been falling for him ever since the day they served detention together in the Forbidden Forest. Ironic as it was, Percy, the one who always brought them together, now longed to tear them apart.
