"Sk8er Boy – Avril Lavigne"
You're still on the phone with her. I know how you feel about her. All you do is talk about her, how good her skills are or how pretty she always looks.
And yet, you're a Pokémon trainer and she's a skilled coordinator. You both have nothing in common, not like me and you.
I can guess that you really like, and that just breaks my heart. But I don't show it to you, because you seem so happy around her. I can also tell that she's started to develop feelings for you too…
Her friends don't approve of you, always saying you're out of her league. They don't know what kind of person you really are. So what if you travelled all the time or didn't go to a first-class school?
Somehow their words got to her, and she turned you down. I can't believe she did that to you, and I had to be the one to comfort you. I'll always be here for you, even if it's not the way that you want. She doesn't deserve you.
I couldn't be happier. It's been five years, and I still can't believe that you've confessed that you love me. I look back at the memories of the girl, and I can just imagine her now.
I see her at the match, where you're versing one of your rivals. I can see her in the crowd, watching you intently as I cheer you on near the sidelines. She's there in shock; I guess she couldn't believe you made it this far when her dream shattered to glass.
You're still battling, and you just turned to face me. You flashed me one of your goofy grins and I smiled back wildly, continuing to chant your name in support.
I'm not your friend anymore; we're much more than that. After you finished the match, I ran over to you, and you lifted me up, twirling me around as I giggled. You put me down and pressed your lips to mine softly. I pull away and look at the girl; her face looks like it's about to crumble.
I saw all along what she missed in the first place, what everyone missed. I saw your true personality under the mask you always wore, always seeing through it when you were trying to hide something from me.
I've always been here for you, ever since you were boy starting on your journey. I followed you after you ruined my bike, helping you along the way. But then I had to leave, but I continued to support you; even though I was ages away. But then I came back, and look at us now.
We promised that we'd see each other again, and we did. I returned to you, and you welcomed me back with open arms.
I congratulated you after the match, continuing to hug you while the girl was out of our minds. You mentioned that you saw her, and said that you don't even care about her now that you have me.
You're my world, Ash Ketchum, and have been since you ruined my bike.
By the way, you still owe me for that.
Disclaimer: I do not own Pokemon or Sk8er Boi by Avril Lavinge.
So, I was reading up on the song-fic issues on here and I decided to re-post this fic without the lyrics because I don't want to get into trouble. :3 This is my first song-fic that I wrote ages ago that was originally posted on my other account.
