As he sits on his bicycle watching the car descend away from him, Brian Krakow has nothing. No life, no friends (so he thinks) and most importantly no Angela. The car fades away as he watches. "That should've been me" he repeats in his mind without saying it out loud.
Hours pass and Brian sits in his bed wondering why. Why does Jordan Catalano get the girl? After his good gesture, there's nothing else. The girl of his dreams is gone. For the rest of the night he keeps his eyes open not even trying to fall asleep.
Angela sits in the passenger seat looking out of the window. She looks at Jordan as he drives. She turns away and he looks back at her. A little awkward silence until he gets to her house. Instead of quickly hopping out of the car, Angela looks at her house. The detailing is perfect. She looks at how dim the living room looks like from the outside. She notices the things no one else would. Jordan Catalano looks at Angela just as her eyes meets his. This time she can't look away. "Should I kiss her?" he thinks without saying. "The way his eyes move. He looks so uninterested in everything." Says Angela in her head.
"I'll see you later." Says Jordan.
"You too." Replies Angela.
Angela hops out of the car and walks to the door without looking back. She opens the door to her house. Contrary to Brian's belief Angela is actually thinking about him and his honest but sneaky gesture. She closes the door to see her family sitting at the table. She hears the Jordan's car roar to life pulling away. She closes the door and her family greets her.
Later that night, Brian sits in his bed thinking about Angela. Angela sits in her bed thinking about Jordan and Brian. Rayanne sits on her couch thinking about pizza, chips, and Angela—sort of. Ricky thinks about his life and where it's going.
In other words: The usual.
