A/N: …I feel ashamed… you will find my full apology at the bottom…

The rain came down heavily, drenching Anko, her feet hitting the waterlogged gravel path, saturating her further. But she didn't care.

"The Hokage know about the research being conducted here."

"I understand."

But she didn't understand. Why would Orochimaru sensei do something like this? The man she had always looked up to and respected…why? She had run, she had to get away…

Anko felt a sharp, acute pain, and turned to see the head of a white snake latching onto her forearm. She turned and gasped in pain, and reached for a kunai, and made a deep gash in its neck. It hissed, and she jerked it off her arm. She gritted her teeth, as one of the snake's fangs were left embedded in her arm, the other leaving a deep wound rapidly leaking blood. He must be close she thought. I have to get away!

So she pushed on, until she saw a flash of movement ahead of her. She tried to turn around, but she slipped on the wet gravel, and found the once comforting figure of her sensei looming over her.

"Now now Anko," Orochimaru's cold voice said, "what have I told you? You need to stat at the lab, so we can continue our research! Come now…"

"NO! Anko shouted, her blood, sweat and tears blending with the rain around her, tinting it red. "I'm not going back there! That isn't research, it's…it's destroying life!" Orochimaru let out a quiet laugh, looking down on his student.

"But my dear Anko, this research will help us to unlock the wonders of the universe!" he replied, rasing his hands up to the clouded sky. "It will help us discover the undiscovered! Do what has never been done! So just come with me now Anko, and we can…"

"NO!" Anko yelled, her voice trying to overcome the roar of the pounding storm. Her violet hair was mattered against her face and neck, and the hand that had been covering her arm trying to stop the blood flow, reached back and pulled out the snakes fang and thrust the bloodied item at Orochimaru's feet. She gritted her teeth in agony, and her sensei smirked, but she continued. "I am not going back there! I am not going back to that place of horror, of pain, of torture…I never want to see that place ever again!"

Orochimaru strode towards her, and she turned away. But he grabbed her chin and pulled it towards him, forcing her to look deep into his cold, savage, serpent-like eyes.

"You know how much I hate hurting you Anko, but you leave me no choice…"

He released his hold, and she scrambled on the ground, trying desperately to get away, only to find herself backed up against a tree. She looked up to see her sensei weaving very familiar hand signs. No, Anko thought. Please, not that, anything but that, please, no, no, NO!

But it was too late. She saw a flash of his slitted snake eyes before her vision flashed white, and she felt the intense agony of the curse mark. It felt like her body was on fire, burning steadily, while also felling like her limbs were dipped in acid, slowly eating at her bones, all combined with the feeling of getting stabbed by a thousand kunai knives over, and over again. It was true unimaginable pain.

Silent tears rolled down her face, concealed by the rain.

Why sensei? Anko thought. Why?

And then she screamed.

A/N: … well, it's time to face the music. I'm SOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSO SORRY!

I know that I haven't updated in AGES, and I give my BIGGEST APOLOGY EVER to the readers of Stolen, shipped and sold and the three maidens, I just haven't had the time! I REALLY didn't have the time to write this, but I was procrasting on an assignment and when I finished it I thought 'hey, this isn't that bad!' So, I am REALLY sorry, but if you could review and tell me what you think of this one shot, I would be eternally grateful!

Love you all and ETERNALLY sorry,
